This place is exactly as f***ing excellent as everyone says. The owner created saki bombs for us and is a lot of fun. Sushi was under priced as it’s the best we’ve have in Monterey bay. Cannot say enough we will be back.
Super family friendly and low key sushi spot. I really like the quality of the fish. We always come by to enjoy delicious sushi with our pup and toddler on the patio. Another nice highlight is that they offer more traditional dishes like oyakodon too (yum!)
Best sushi I've ever had made right in front of me by the owner! I'm from very far out of town but if I'm ever back, I'll be sure to stop by again.
Delicious food, beautifully prepared, with great service. Very crowded which is a good sign! Cute town, nice environment. Would definitely go again!

Given the growing COVID rates we decided to do a take-out order from here. The quality of the sushi rolling (bursting at the seam) and fish-to-rice ratio was less than what we were used to.

Sushi is the best in Carmel-By-The-Sea. Staff is friendly, closes a bit early so plan ahead.
My experience here was awful. The server took my order and then totally ignored me. Another party sat down after me, ordered, and ate their entire meal. I did not get my food. They never checked on me, to see if I needed anything, or apologized for my order being late. I was on the patio (so was the other party) —I had to go into the restaurant to ask where my food was! Then they brought out my food in a box to the table! They said something about the chef thinking it was to go. I sent it back to the kitchen to be plated correctly. I rarely leave zero tip, but I cannot believe the waitress brought my $26 chirashi order to my table in a box, after it was over 30 min late compared to other tables.
Food was amazing. Atmosphere was comforting. Service was stellar. Prices were very reasonable.
