I came to this restaurant with big expectations, however it a total fiasco. From the moment of my arrival to the last minute. To begin with they do kot have a hostess to greet you and sit you properly, the tables as the whole equipment at least in the patio is worn out and old. The waiter tried hard to explain the menu which I appreciate, however seems that there was a miscommunication error between him and his team and they ended bringing one of the appetizer after the main course. The first plate was way to salty(sweet breads), the escargot were okay, honestly nothing out of the ordinary, the scallops with risotto was the only plate that was worth it. At the end they send me the frog legs(late) even when I told them that I did not want them anymore! This is bad and definitely no coming back nor will recommended to anyone it is overpriced and not worth the trip.
What a beautiful dinner and evening we had at LâEscargot. The restaurant is in in a charming cottage like setting everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It was our wedding anniversary and everyone who helped us acknowledged it and congratulated us. The menu is not large but it is quite varied with lots of items you donât find on most menus. I had the duck and my husband had the beef Wellington which were both absolutely delicious. We went to several lovely restaurants in Carmel but this was our favorite by far. Beautiful restaurant with wonderful food and service highly recommend.

Food was wonderful. Menu differed greatly from menu posted on OpenTable but was lovely.
