If you're in Carmel, there aren't too many Chinese restaurants to begin with. So if you've got the craving, this is a solid spot! Really great location, extremely cleab and super friendly staff. Portions are good and you'll definitely leave full. Very traditional type dishes that are cooked authentically and reasonably priced especially for this area. So skip the PF Chang's and check out this instead ?
The vegetable garden lunch special is a very tasty option for any vegetarians out there. Staff is very nice and they have reasonable prices
I have tried this restaurant multiple times because it's close to my house. I keep hoping that the food will improve, but it never does. There is literally no flavor at all and the food is way too sweet. It's worth the drive to Tommy's Wok for significantly better food for approximately the same price. Someone needs to print out these comments and share them with the owner.
Absolutely the worst orange chicken I had in my life. Call to talk to the owner about it they hung up on me. Just a horrible place!
This place was absolutely awful. I asked for sesame chicken and they gave me orange chicken. The orange chicken smelled like death. The restaurant made me feel claustrophobic. Do not ever go here unless you want terrible food. & they had slimy noodles. Go to panda express if you want something authentic.
Excellent service, restaurant is spotless and prices are perfectly reasonable. Waitress was very kind and attentive. Will be coming back next time we're in town. Also who ever responds to the reviews, you're hilarious.
I liked the sweet and sour shrimp, but the chow mein and honey-orange chicken was not great. The dishes were authentic chinese taste, very different from fast-food chinese places. Maybe that's why we didn't like them that much...The service was good and the lunch menu was very affordable and includes eggroll and soup or salad.
A hidden gem so glad we found this place today Waitress was extremely nice and polite very attentive. This place was also incredibly clean and beautiful inside. Thank you for the wonderful food and service.
We ordered 4 takeout dishes tonight and all were a disappointment. My walnut shrimp: undercooked, fishy taste, NO flavor, walnuts were NOT roasted, and not even half the box was filled. :( Fried squid: also barely fried and soggy. Fried rice: raw zucchini, barely any egg, Mongolian beef: husband said it was OK. We always look forward to supporting local businesses, but sadly had a 3rd bad experience with take-out here (especially with the $20 shrimp price tag!). They also said it would be ready in 10 minutes, which made sense upon eating because it was all poorly and undercooked.
