A great way to start the day! Carmel valley coffee roasters has all the classic coffee/espresso options as well as some fun local creations. Their coffee beans are fresh and locally roasted, we actually first tried their coffee in our hotel and decided to grab another cup before heading to the beach. They also have a great breakfast selection of pastries and hot items like burritos and sandwiches. They have multiple locations in Carmel, so it convenient no matter what side of town you are on.
My friend who is muslim can’t have chicken or other meat iteam that is not halal. So she ordered tuna sandwich to be safe. They toasted our entire order and placed tuna sandwich in a wrapper with chicken label. She ended up having few bites before realizing it was chicken. This is not fair and was very angry.Super cute cafe but be prepared to take away because the restaurant sitting is negligible. There are few tables outside and some inside for sitting but setting is made for pickup and go.
This little coffee shop was warm and inviting, with space to work and view the street as people walk around. I ordered their toasted marshmallow latte, and it was a really unique coffee experience. The top foam is a melted marshmallow, and the the rest of the flavors really make you feel like you’re drinking a s’more! This was a great stop while we explored Carmel and needed a little bit of a caffeine boost.
Enjoyed breakfast here! It is a super cute and small shop with indoor and outdoor seating. A great place to grab a bite and people watch. They have an excellent drink menu, and the drinks come in a variety of sizes. I got the toasted wave latte and it was delicious. The food was good, although it seems it is premade and then heated up. The pastries looked delicious.
Location is great. They had a vegan lemon chocolate chip cookie my husband said was great. Nothing too unique but great to stop in for a coffee and people watch.
Cute coffee shop, good coffee! Not much seating inside and their breakfast burritos were mostly egg. Took our coffee and burritos and went down to enjoy them on the beach.
Perhaps the best coffee on Ocean Avenue. Friendly and quick service. I think that the almond croissant is the best in town. Also, good chocolate and ham & cheese croissants. Outside tables are nice to watch the morning street.
Really flavorful coffee in a really good location. You can sit to enjoy your coffee and watch as people and cars drive by on ocean Ave. The double latte was delicious and for a fair price, would definitely get coffee here again.
Cute shop in a sea of many others, but with its own style. Baristas were friendly, quick, and helpful. The pastry selection was excellent as well. But the big question: how was the coffee? Absolutely great. I got one of each of their specialty espresso drinks, which were both great. The espresso flavor still came through the admittedly sweet and delicious concoctions, albeit playing a supporting role. Shots were well pulled with no sourness detected, and the right amount of bittersweet notes. This will be my regular shop every time I visit CbtS.
Situated on the fine Ocean Avenue so most visitors to Carmel would pass by. Excellent place for a coffee break.
