Booking made for 2 via Opentable but seen as for more guests by the restaurant staff. Staff then forgot us for orders but once the order was through the service was extra quick â¦. Main course portions are very small, wine is served in glasses that one cannot describe, as for what would have been for a diet soda ! In the end, no appetizers or no desserts; but 45$ for Gnocchi and a glass of wine ! Very poor quality for money.

Food was good, but not outstanding Service was very slow and several items requested twice before receiving Outdoor area was heated . . Good Dessert was not tasty.
Delicious pasta dishes. GLUTEN FREE SAFE. I am celiac, and I did not get sick. Friendly service. Highly recommend both the carbonara and the amatriciana.

We have been dining at Basilâs for a couple years. The food has just been absolutely delicious every time. Try the Spanish octopus, strawberry beet arugula salad and the lamb meatballs and then go from there. Small but good wine list. The service, attentive but not overbearing. One of our favorite spots in Carmel.
What a great place to eat. Great service and superb Italian meal. Roast Pear and gorgonzola salad was fantastic.
We loved this place! The staff were so nice, the food was delicious, and the ambience was really cozy. We had our 6 month old with us and they were super accommodating (they gave us a table with more space to put our stroller next to). We definitely plan to come back next time weâre in town.
