The experience and amazing food was so very special. I had the Eggplant Parmesan and it was to perfection!! The sauce was beautiful in texture, color & taste.The food melted in your mouth with every bite. The house salad and dressing, very fresh and well prepared!!. The Italian wine the wonderful waiter suggested, was a perfect compliment to the dish.The Panna Cotta off the charts yummy!!!I made a reservation on line and and we were greeted warmly upon our arrival.
It was Friday evening, no reservations and this place was welcoming from the start. We were not disappointed the place is a gem. Great decor and ambiance. Food was delicious, well cooked and and true Italian.

I’ve visited just one time (last weekend) but I can already tell that Via Vai will be one of my favorite restaurants in Carlsbad - the food was fantastic, they have a lovely patio and with very cozy seating inside, the service was excellent, they have a very good wine selection and I loved the menu options. We are definitely going back - soon.
Absolutely fantastic food. Fresh pasta made in house and authentic tasting sauces that remind me of my favorite Italian places in New Jersey. This is now our go to place for pasta in north county.
