I'm not a vegan by any stretch of the imagination, but some of my adult children are, and I respect that. Had a VG classic (beyond burger). No other way to say this. It was delicious. Sorry fellow carnivores. It was enjoyable and satisfying. The staff was attentive and professional. Do not fear the unknown. It's really pretty good.
First time visiting this location of Veggie grill for my wife and I. We were accompanied by our family friends who are in their 70s and we were meeting them for lunch to catch up after a long time.We recommend this location for lunch as it was closer to where they reside and it was their first time dining at Veggie Grill. We were greeted by a cheerful and courteous lady at the register who patiently helped our friends with the menu options. Food was brought out as and when it was ready so that we didn't have to wait. Well prepared delicious food with a very helpful and courteous staff !
One of my favorite vegan restaurants! If there is one in the area I usually stop. I also have DoorDashed when I’m staying in Orange County. I love their hamburgers. The one I had today was their steakhouse burger that had steak sauce and blue cheese, of course all vegan. It was very tasty. I also love their nachos. It doesn’t have that fake vegan cheese taste and there’s plenty of heat on these. The chips have a nice crunch that holds up with the sauce on it. My wife ordered the Ruben which I’ve had before and it is very tasty. Overall this is a great restaurant chain and if you are vegetarian or vegan I would highly recommend it.
Really fun vegan grill, with all kinds of amazing dishes plant-based only, the kind of thing you only see in California. But it's actually very healthy and tastes quite good.
So fresh! Feel full without feeling gross after eating. Delicious fish sandwich and lentil soup! They offer unsweetened tea and lemonade for drinks as well. Good portions. Quality, satisfying meal. Very friendly and helpful staff. Menu was pleasantly surprising. No real meat here, but their food is great without it! Really tasty salads too!
The vegan food is super delicious and the customer service is superb!!! Love this place. Came here two days in a row. We tried the Southeastern Nachos, Far east bowls, Reuben on Rye, and French fries.
Steven is the very best at making the situation right. He stepped up and made our experience better. Thank you for the delicious food and even better customer service experience. I will always stop into this location.We had the Mac and it was pretty good. The crispy chik’n sandwich was flawless, although you want to keep the wrap on as it will drip. I added the blue cheese crumble and enjoyed the add on.Wife had the steak burger with a mushroom add on. She was absolutely satisfied. The only problem we had was the food came out peace-meal. So I ate after the kids were almost done but Steven made up for that without even asking. He stepped up and offered us a dessert item. We thoroughly enjoyed the gesture and the dessert was decadent. So moist and full of flavor.Again, thank you ??
Normally I don’t review chains but this place was great. After a day at legoland it really hit the spot. I loved the romaine salad and the lentil soup was very tasty with good spice. Steven was working the register and he was really accommodating and funny and the restaurant was clean and orderly. Overall a good value. Will definitely go back.
For some reason they took a very long time for our order even though it was placed online. It definitely was not ready at the given time and took approximately another 20 minutes. Other than that, was happy that my sister-in-law could enjoy a vegan meal.
If you’re in the Carlsbad Village area for the day or the beaches in Carlsbad, you can visit the Veggie Grill nearby. You can take Carlsbad Blvd south and keep going on Palomar Airport Rd for about a mile a you’re there.It’s a nice area with plenty of parking nearby since Costco is close to it. It can get busy at times because of the Costco gas lines.I like the variety of plant based foods at all Veggie Grills. The loaded nachos are good for sharing with someone or a group. The bowls are a good size and you can get tortilla chips to compliment them.They have seating inside and out which makes it convenient to find a spot to eat. Their customer service is excellent every time that I have gone in.I’m sharing photos of the 7 layer bowl which is great with chips. Also, their classic romaine salad which is nice to share too. My wife ordered the Cajun Fish Sandwich which she enjoyed too.
