I am pretty sure I've passed by this place a dozen times while in Carlsbad Village by car and never noticed it. On a whim while in the area, it was suggested we cool off by getting something here. We got the strawberry sundae. Each of us tried a different flavor of the custard choice for our sundae. It was delicious and hit the spot on a hot Saturday
Delicious chocolate covered strawberries cool treat on a warm night. Perfect date night with my daughter and I. We also got the chocolate covered marshmallow yuuuuuummm! Thank you Strawberry Shack we will be back.
Strawberry shortcake was ok. Two little slivers of shortcake on the side of a bowl full of sliced strawberries. Cake to strawberry ratio was way off. Cake should have been bigger and under the berries to absorb the strawberry juice. My daughter liked her dole/strawberry whip. My husband’s strawberry key lime pie tasted like cheesecake with strawberries. I can do a much better strawberry shortcake and key lime pie at home. Cute little stand though.

Unique idea of a touristy place to emphasize strawberries. After a drive down 101 from San Jose seeing a lot of strawberry festival billboards, I had quite a craving for strawberries. It was just perfect to have a strawberry “treat stand” at the beloved Carlsbad destination. I bought some strawberry decorated socks to replace my sandy socks ( Hey,.. that’s travel fun). And, I got a strawberry key lime pie decorated with fresh strawberries.
2nd visit! Friendly staff. Strawberry specialty shop with fresh everything. We had the strawberry custard, cheesecake, and a vanilla custard sundae with strawberries and delish whipped cream. Highly recommend this to add on your CArlsbad dessert rotation :)
They give you plenty of strawberries, but the strawberry shortcake would be way better warm and the custard was gritty. Definitely felt more like it was a part of a school strawberry festival than a professional establishment.
Very kind staff. We ordered the shortcake and strawberry cookies. Great classic strawberry shortcake. They gave our kiddos samples which was very sweet ☺️

I love strawberries so was so excited... My strawberry shortcake was so so, the chocolate covered strawberries were good, the brownie was eh. Friendly service. Wouldn't go again but glad I tried. The strawberry milkshake was good. I was expecting earth shattering, and everything was okay or better.
