We visited shore house kitchen to meet up with some family for a brunch. We had a party of 9 and were quoted with a time of 25 minutes of a weight which is not bad for a huge party like us on a Sunday morning. What's it up to me the most was the selection on their menu I love the different choices you have and the they have good service to compliment. I had there bloody Mary which was a great start it wasn't too spicy and a bit sweet but hit the spot. The mimosa was a great choice as well I tried that from the wifey. We were also very hungry so I missed out on a couple pictures but I got a good picture of my short rib hash with my own little touch of ketchup and on sauce on top. As far as the food goes the breakfast potatoes were very good the hash Browns were super crispy and the food and the food was pretty good as well. The only thing I wish they did on my hash dish was seer the short rib a bit to give it a crunchiness. I personally thought it needed a bit more seasoning but I do have a salty pollen myself so a bit of black pepper and salt did pretty well for me. The others at the table ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich and the chilequilles, These dishes came highly recommended by them and when I tried them were very good as well. Not to mention the restaurants located in a spot that's nice to stroll around in the Carlsbad. Great Spot!

Nice, airy cafe serving creative and standard breakfast favorites. The mango pancakes were fantastic, yummy biscuits, Eggs Benedict, and potato hash.

We had a great breakfast on 6/12/22, atShorehouse Kitchen's Carlsbad location. It was a rocky start here, I must admit, as my wife & I had to wait nearly 10 min., to be greeted & seated. We got here around 7:40am, after they'd just opened, at 7:30. As we walked up, I noticed this place looked understaffed, with only 2 servers frantically taking orders & delivering coffees to guests sitting at tables on their large outdoor patio. After we were seated, things got a whole lot better! Staffing improved significantly, & I got my regular coffee & blueberry scone. All was once again right with the world! Their coffee was hot & rich tasting. My scone was just a touch dry, but still good, loaded with blueberries, and sprinkled with sugar crystals on topMy wife ordered the Vanilla Bean Tahitian FrenchToast, plus added Bananas. This came with Chantilly Cream. She loved it! Thick french toast was coated in a light fluffy egg batter, and griddled to perfection. The Chantilly Cream & bananas took it to another level of delish!I had the Monterey Omelette, a fluffy omelette, with sliced Poblano Peppers, tasty bacon, sauteed spinach & a healthy bit of white cheddar cheese, adding the ooey gooey factor. It was an excellent-tasting omelette, & the O'brien Potatoes were sliced in large chunks- golden brown outside, hot & tender inside. I asked for strawberry jam, & our server brought me a mini Bonne Maman strawberry jam jar. This is such an upgrade from what you'd normally get at a regular breakfast restaurant. We ate on the patio, which had fiberglass panels overhead, to provide shade, plus we had a nice view of the palm trees & landscaping, which added beauty, to what would've otherwise been just a drab parking lot.Great food, nice ambience, & just a touch slow service, at Shorehouse Kitchen, Carlsbad

Let me start off saying that the food was pretty good. My husband really liked the Angus short rib hash. I on the other hand did not enjoy my salmon Benedict. My egg were not runny like you'd expect. The sauce broke and wasn't even on my eggs and the salmon tasted very "fishy". What we really struggled with was the wait. We were quoted 75 min for a party of 6. We waited 110 min which was absolutely ridiculous ? The service wasn't that great either. Everyone in our party liked their food and drinks. It was just mine that wasn't good. Based on the wait and service alone, we won't be back.

Great menu, great drink offering, great staff. Very enticing breakfast Options that aren't really available anywhere else. Friendly staff and wide variety of diet options. Very busy so get here early or be prepared to wait. Definitely one of the best breakfast places in Carlsbad.

Bustling brunch hotspot in the heart of the Carlsbad Village. The patio is huge, but then wait can be as well! Be sure to join the Yelp wait list before arriving, especially after 930 am on weekends. It's all worth it though. The menu is huge, everyone liked their food, and they have many different coffees, coffee cocktails, and mimosas to choose from. Highly recommended!Street parking is your best bet, unless you're lucky and there's a spot in the lot right next to the restaurant.

Quick SummaryNot sure about all the rave reviews. Food was very mediocre; service was decent and the ambiance was nice. The only redeeming dish was the french toastFood- 2 starsCrispy parmesan Risotto and honey cured bacon eggs benedict- this was just ok. It was pretty dry and lacked much of any flavorAngus short rib and hash brown potato cakes- I was excited to try the short rib due to the rave reviews. However, I was most disappointed by this dish. The short rib was incredibly dry and not very tender. Hash browns were good thoughCaramelized Tahitian Vanilla Bean French Toast- this was pretty good. The only dish I likedSalmon, shaved fennel and burrata salad- I was sad that this was basically a cafeteria dish. The romaine lettuce was very sad and old. Rest of the dish was very dry as wellService- 4 starsDecent service. Took a bit longer to get our food and drinks. It's nice that you can be added onto the waitlist on the Yelp app, but still waited 25 minutes after checking inAmbiance- 5 starsPretty cool area if you're indoors or in the patio seating (would avoid the bench seating in the pack). The tables can be a bit packed, but it's a cool beach brunch areaBottom LineGood service and ambiance, but very disappointed by the food. Not sure why this place is rated 4.5 stars

Came here on a Harley Ride.Recommended by one of our chapter members.Everyone had breakfast. I chose the Ham omelet with Country potatoes. With English muffin. My breakfast was prepared correctly and to my liking.Everyone was quite pleased with their choices. Everyone was allowing each other too taste one another's breakfast. Our server Brittany was on point and our party was a group of 10. She handled everyone perfectly. The restaurant was quite busy all morning. It's a local favorite for dining. Our wait was only 20 mins which was quite impressive on how busy they were.Stop by you won't be disappointed!

Slow service - and they stick to their sequence/routine and don’t respond to signals that you are in a rush. When they came for the drinks order, we said we were ready to order; server said they would be right back but we waited 7-10 minutes for her to return. Very standard fare - large portions, tasted good but not special in any way. Right next to a train station so when the train comes, it’s pretty loud. (That being said, the train only came once during our rather long breakfast service). I would not go there again.

I have eaten here many times and all has been perfect BUT the other day I had breakfast which was Eggs Benedict (Standard with shaved ham, has browns and coffee. Unfortunately the Eggs Benedict was cold, the has browns were underdone and luke warm. Coffee was excellent as was the service. Not sure if they changed chef's or I should call them a short order cook. Hope they are not going down hill?
