Senor Grubby's, with a name like that I would think that this business is a car wash where there is a 50% chance your car is stolen, or some low end hand sanitizer for washing children's disgusting grubby hands. The name paired with a beach setting logo is just mind boggling, whoever came up with this needs to take a good long hard look at their life and the decisions they've made. But I digress, the name is not important, it is the food that counts. As I bit into my Senior Grubby's California Burrito, I was was sadly disappointed. Yes, it did hit the burrito spot, as in the end it was just... a burrito, but I was expecting so much more from Chef Grubby. I was excited to eat this burrito, I had been craving it all day and even some friends were hyping it up. My expectations were high, but I was ready for a delicious treat of meaty goodness. The only way I could explain the disappointment is comparing it to Christmas morning. Being a bright eyed boy with joy in his heart, skipping down the stairs to open the first present of Christmas morning, I was met with disappointment. The burrito was exactly like the disappointment of opening up a pair of socks in the big wrapped present box, my whole world crumbling before me as it was only downhill from there. I will mention it was not a great sock (keeping with the metaphor), this was no Stance socks, no graphic fun socks with kitty faces on them, NO, this sock was old, dry, much like the one I stuffed under the bed as a young wee lad. The burrito and the sock were identical in disappointment. Much like that particular sock, I went to a dark room and kept eating the burrito, hiding away from the public in shame. After it was done I shamefully went about my day, knowing I regretted the purchase, I regretted finishing the burrito, I regretted ever being excited for Christmas. This burrito was a disappoint to me, a disappointment to California and a disappointment to Senor Grubby himself.Again, at the end of the day this was a burrito, so I downed that bad boy like it was a glizzy on the back 9 of a round of golf. It wasn't good at all, but then again it wasn't the worst thing I've had in my life. I will give Senor Grubby's one additional try and rewrite my experience if required.Thank you all

This was the first spot I became somewhat of a regular at when I arrived to the Village in 2014. It has a nice "local" feel, while having some seats facing the just street. Like many places, they always have a good representation of craft beer... Taco Tuesday and other weekly specials. They are very involved in the community. Now, I spend Taco Tuesdays here with my son. This is the only taco place he'll accept!Oh, the food is good too! ? Pork belly, shrimp diabla, surf and turf, birria... Margaritas

Nice tasty food, good service and all. At a reasonable price. Grubby will be seeing us again! Mexican is not my favourite, but this was very good.

Amazing food, great location, great service. Had dinner here tonight and had to leave early because my baby decided to pop off but during our time there, everyone was so kind and understanding of the situation at hand (tantrums). The food was amazing, even 39 minutes later after driving home. They have tons of salsa to choose from. We sat inside but the patio seemed super cool and inviting too! The employees were super sweet to my baby and let him walk around since the area we were in was pretty empty. Portions of food were huge. The kids burrito came with fries and the burrito itself was like the size of my baby’s torso, which was nice since it was $11. Since I’m not from here i just figured it was an overpriced kids meal since everything here is more expensive but when we got it, i quickly realized you got every dollars worth of food. It was huge! We still have some left lol it could feed an adult. Great value, great food, great staff, great environment and great energy and music. They even had my baby dancing. Another perk, the women’s restroom had a changing table. The ultimate convenience!!!!

Excellent al pastor tacos! I also loved the hot salsa bar!Went back a few days later and had some more great food! Also met Mike and chatted about the first time my family and I came here 15+ years ago! Kids are all grown, but it’s still a great place to visit on my own!

Wonderful staff and food is great. My first food stop while visiting the area while I am planning to move here. Chill spot overall and a lot of locals stop by here often.

This place is a little whole in the wall! It’s a take out spot. Reviews are highly falsified. Fish Tacos are sardines deep battered and served with loads of cabbage the price is ridiculous the entire set up is whack! Walk away no run! Avocado guacamole we ordered was old moldy salsa bar stunk ! They call themselves a bar!? It’s whack!! Just walk away! As they do even offer parking! The place plainly just sucks!!

The food is underwhelming at best. I have had both lunch and breakfast there recently and it was not good. How do you screw up Mexican food when your city is 30 minutes from the border? Also, the bartender out back, Gary, needs a real attitude adjustment. No need to go back, would much rather go somewhere else in the Village- there are so many better places.

Fun inventive food! Great Staff! Very Helpful!Gotta try the Razo-Dazzle - Carne Asada, Diabla Shrimp and sautéed Veggies! Fajita Rice Bowls are Amazing as well.Ask for back of house Hot Sauce (if you Dare). Family Friendly. Check it out!
