Just few blocks from Carlsbad Beach. It has great seafood pasta and the homemade garlic bread is to die for

Was not disappointed at all! Food and service was really good, the atmosphere was awesome. We had the bbq pizza and the pasta with garlic basil tomato over angel hair pasta we also had the mussels as a appetizer. And yes we are full lol. I would recommend stopping by this place you will not regret it.

My first visit to Jay’s Gourmet on Father’s Day was very pleasant. Izzy, the server with beautiful smiles, suggested a half-portion size of Seafood Linguine, I selected white sauce to better taste the quality of ingredients’ freshness. Tasty house salad and warm breadsticks were served before main dish arrived, the seafood linguine was deliciously prepared just right, not under or over cooked. The owner and chef Jay walked around with pleasant smiles making sure his patrons are enjoying his dishes.I glazed over other tables to check out other dishes. A must return for me to try Jay’s pizza and seafood salad. Buon Cibo?

The best pizza I have ever had!!!! Super cute location too. Can go to the beach right after.

Jay's Gourmet was always a go-to destination for my family when we visited in the Carlsbad area, but it had been so long since I had last been there that I had forgotten how good it was. One visit was all it took to remind me of why we made it a point to eat there. We ordered four pizzas: their Works, a build-your-own pepperoni, a white pizza with basil, and their Jay;s Seafood pizza. The Works and pepperoni pizzas were among the best of the kind that I have had, and Jay's Seafood Pizza was an unusual treat. But my favorite was the white pizza, which I enjoyed so much that I made it a point to return there for another one before we left. Highly recommended!

It’s been over 20 years since my last visit to Carlsbad by The Sea. A lot of growth with new shops, condos and eateries. I was overwhelmed with choices but I decided to try Jay’s Gourmet for an Italian Seafood dish. Izzy with beautiful smiles, was the server, recommended me a half-portion choice of mix-seafood linguine. The dish came with warm breadsticks and a salad before main dish was served. The seafood and linguine were perfectly delicious. Not under or overcook. I selected white sauce to taste the quality of ingredients’ freshness, I was not disappointed. I met the owner/chef Jay. Pleasant man. I look forward to try their seafood pizza and seafood salad at my next visit?

Amazing artichoke and asparagus salad. Superb garlic breadsticks. Mouth-watering pizza. Great service. You don't want to miss eating at Jay's. We were so happy we lucked out with the good food not knowing anything about where to eat. It was consistently delicious.

Honestly there is nothing here that is bad, It’s all delicious. All of my kids love it and there is something for everyone! Great people and food that kicks the heck out of everything.

Long time favorite restaurant and always recommend! Everything is good except I’ve noticed the service has been declining somewhat. Small things like they no longer serve you their warm bread sticks unless you ask for them. They should offer them if they are avoiding possible waste. However, this is what prompted me to write this review. They are open M-Th until 9PM. A middle aged couple came in at 8:20. They were told we’re close unless you order take out. At 8:25, a party of 4 came in and were just told we’re closed. That party said, “well there plenty of other restaurants around here that are open at this hour. Let’s go then.” If you’re closed at 8:20 why are you listed at the door at 9PM(9:30 online). With all the competition now around town it seems to not matter.

This restaurant has NOT slipped in there service and/or delicious, outstanding and perfectly prepared food.I was definitely not disappointed. And most importantly, the wife was not disappointed. We will be returning.
