For our family of four who mainly wanted quick and easy access to Carlsbad Beach, this was perfect. Just walk across the street and you're there! The room we stayed in (316) provided a lovely view of the sunset too. Get some great Mexican food at Kotija Jr. Taco Shop in Leucadia or some classic In-N-Out burgers right around the bend. One extremely satisfied family.

This is a great place to stay in Carlsbad. This Hilton Garden Inn is one of the best. The staff is so friendly.. the hotel has been renovated.. the rooms are fantatsic.. quiet.. super clean. We love this location.. across from the beach.. and located near so many restaurants and fun destinations.

Very nice location Right off the I-5 freeway so it was easy to travel. We went to Universal Studios and the to San Diego Zoo and lastly Lego land which is literally 2.5 miles from the Hotel which is right across the street from the beach. The rooms were spacious and the staff was very friendly. There's a nice spot called the Windmill food court around the corner. Plenty of Different food to choose from and a full open Bar with a variety of drinks. We will definitely be staying there again on our next So Cal trip.

We enjoyed are stay for the most part. We loved the sites proximity to the beach. The daily parking of $18.00 was to excessive. The tub in our room was scuffed up and looked dirty. I happy the manager of the site waived the parking fee for my two day stay. The buffet at the Inn was pricey for the food you got. The hotel housing keeping forgot to give fresh towels once the did room service.

Hotel was great for family. Pool was always clean. Breakfast buffet was perfect. Staff was excellent. Just out of the way of hustle and bustle of the village but close enough to go enjoy dining out or public beach entrance.

hotel was o.k. buffet price was ridiculous! $18.00 and $10.00 for children and NO SERVICE. overnight parking is $18.00-really??? I already paid for the room this should be included house keeping a maybe if you keep on them no restaurant for dinner time NO BEACH ACCESS most importantly -we picked this hotel for beach access only CLIFF access across the street

The overall experience was great. Very friendly staff at front desk. They gave us one of the updated rooms with a nice view as it was our anniversary. Remodeled rooms are very nice. Hardwood floors, very clean, fresh looking. Hotel is not too far from the village, but far enough away that it's quieter and less crowded in the area.

Had a wonderful vacation. The staff was friendly, informative and provided excellent customer service.

We enjoyed our stay! The hotel was beautiful and spelled great, the scent should be bottled. The staff was pleasant and helpful the only suggestion would be to have more than one person checking people in, the wait was LONG.

This hotel is HORRIBLE for several reasons: 1) We arrived earlier than check-in time of 3:00pm and the Front Desk Clerk said she would put a "rush" on the room and offered to text/call us when the room was ready. She said it would be about an hour and gave us a map to the Carlsbad Village to get lunch and walk around. She confirmed the phone number on file and we left the hotel. TWO HOURS went by and we hadn' received a text/call from anyone from the hotel. My husband & I went to the Front Desk to find several other guest waiting to check-in with only 2 desk clerks working. We had to wait another 30 minutes before it was finally our turn to check-in again … I mentioned to the clerk we were supposed to receive a text/call when our room was ready. The clerk was unapologetic and simply stated, "It's been this way all day (pointing to the line of 4 people behind us)!" - FRONT DESK FAIL 2) The hotel does not offer bellman service, which is totally fine. The Front Desk clerk stated there are bell carts at exits throughout the hotel. The 2 bell carts we found were broken with flat tires or a steering problem! It was more of workout trying to get our personal belongings to the room without the bags falling off the cart or getting stuck somewhere. - ENGINEERING FAIL 3) Thankfully we were given a remodeled room, because I couldn't imagine what a non-remodeled room looked like! The room was nice/decent, but the hotel room door was SO heavy opening and closing ... it slammed every single time it was opened or closed. This must've been true for the other rooms on the same floor, because our door shook every single time another guest room door opened or closed. We felt like our door was going to pop open or something, even with the door latch on! - REMODEL FAIL 4) Room amenities were decent (microwave, mini fridge, Keurig, spacious room, etc). The first morning I made myself a cup of coffee with the Keurig single coffee brewer and was unable to enjoy it, because the cheap paper cups they provide in the room leaked all over the desk! HILTON can afford better quality TO-GO cups! - HILTON FAIL 5) The Front Desk clerks offered complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and other misc beach gear. When we asked for these items, the Front Desk clerk told us it's first come first serve and whatever is available in the storage bin. My husband & I were a little confused, but the clerk kept pointing to a storage bin on the patio. So when we opened the storage bin and we realized the complimentarty beach items were LEFTOVER BEACH ITEMS from past guests! These items were broken, rusted, and definitely a saftey issue! We ended up buying our own chairs and bringing them home. - SAFETY FAIL 6) The hotel's beach towels are horrible! They are old, thin, rough, smells like mildew with a hint of bleach. The towels were apparently a nice blue at one point, but have now faded or been bleached one too many times! Again, we ended purchasing our own towels for the beach/weekend. HILTON can afford better quality beach/pool towels! - HILTON FAIL The hotel website pictures are VERY misleading: 7) The pool pictured is NOT even as big as it's pictured! The pool was so small with the water temperature at 80 degrees. There were serveral families with kids and young adults sitting at poolside when my family went. The young adults were openly vaping (NON-SMOKING HOTEL?) and drinking straight from a Tito's glass bottle. There were a couple hotel employees restocking the thin, old, rough towels but nothing was said to these young adults. Clearly the hotel had very little regard for other hotel guest safety or guest experience. - HILTON FAIL 8) The hotel gym was no bigger than a storage closet! It had a couple treadmills and elipticals with free weights. My family & I literally took up the whole gym at one time. - GYM FAIL 9) The hotel charges a daily parking fee for self parking with an already high rate. This is ridiculous since the parking arms were always up and anyone (including non-ho
