definitely would want to go to this place again with my family! ? as for me, i got the garden party ramen, seaweed salad, koala strawberry bun, and polar bear egg custard bun. all were delicious, and as a ramen lover, i really savored the noodle soup! ?? the buns are ridiculously cute and adorable! ? i appreciated that they have vegetarian options as well ?
First time trying this place, and I LOVE it! The food is soooo good. And the staff is amazing! The buns are very cute but the ramen was the star of the show for me, it was phenomenal!! The food cokes pretty quick! Highly recommend!
This is not a authentic ramen place. It is fusion ramen restaurant. I say this because the broth taste like wonton noodles. They also are cheap with the ingredients. Paid $16 and got a bowl full of green onion and some Chasu (Check photos). This is located in Carlsbad so it’s more catered to the white community but I don’t recommend trying if you are craving traditional ramen soups. The buns are cute and are for marketing. They don’t taste that good for the price.
I really enjoyed this place and really had a good time.We ordered:+ Karaage+ Veggie pot stickers+ Cucumber noodle salad+ Eggplant and duck bao+ Cow character bun+ Fat duck ramenFeedback- karaage was standard, but didn't come with any lemon. This was unusual for me, since nearly every other place I've been to always provided a wedge- Cucumber noodle salad was drenched in dressing. The bottom of the dish was a pool.- the fat duck ramen was outstanding save for one thing, the noodles were a little soft. Next time I'd ask to see if I can get them as firm noodles or as al dente as possible.Standouts:Veggie pot stickers actually had good heat to them.Eggplant bao was delicious according to the wife.
This is one of my favorite local spots for sure! The Vegetable Garden Ramon is the best with the kale noodles. The boa bun tacos are a must try and super filling - you get 2 and they all are packed with lots of flavor. If you like sweet buns, then order the variety pack, these desserts are decorated as the cutest characters. You can take these to go and even bake at home if you wanted. It's a popular place so there can be a long wait sometimes. They do take out too. This place is the bomb!
Great spot for a quick lunch.Be aware-> the lunch special is only Monday-THURSDAY! It is the first thing on their menu so I went to order it on a Friday and said it wasn’t available- so I did the next best thing and ordered it anyway. This did not disappoint. I got the chicken ramen and the pig (BBQ) buns and they were so good!Quick turnaround makes it a doable daytime lunch spot during work and matched the vibe.
LOVE this place! I think their location before moving to the corner was actually much better but the food is still amazing. Our family’s favorite restaurant. The ramen with Brussels sprouts is phenomenal. Will miss eating here!
Even with their bigger location, there is always a wait! It’s worth it though. We went on a Wednesday night have waited for 1.5 hours. Not to worry. We went over to Oak & Elixir for a drink and they texted us when our table was ready. You can also check your place in line virtually.Friends say this is their absolute favorite ramen and their is no denying the cuteness of the animal buns. ? I get the vegan option and they were out of chili oil this time so it wasn’t super flavorful but I’d still go back.
Came to Harumama and LOVED it!Of course you've seen the cute bao all over Instagram and I will agree that they are overpriced for what you get, but you have to also realize that the price is for the artistic quality. Having said that, the two that I tried (cow and polar bear) were still very good. The buns were fluffy and the fillings were pretty generous! But the star of the show for me was the Uni Udon. This was SO GOOD. The noodles were thick yet supple and generously coated in an unctuous uni, peanut butter, fried garlic and shallot sauce. There was just so much flavor amplified by the deliciously creamy and briny uni. The addition of a couple langostino was also a nice touch. It's definitely worth the try in my opinion! Most other tables seemed to go for the ramen so I'm going to wager that that's probably pretty decent too. I guess I may have to try that in a future trip...!
I love this Japanese/Korean/Chinese fusion place. The bulgogi fries are the bomb and ramen is very good as well. The buns are a must order item for the first time visitors just for the photos in IG or FB. Otherwise, the taste or the buns are just ok and overpriced.
