We have been to Carlsbad a lot over the years. Always eat at least once at this place. The fish tacos are amazing and huge. My 11 year old grandson, who is quite the mac and cheese expert said the mac and cheese there was the best he ever had! We went a 2nd time when a friend came down and had fish and chips, so yummy! The home made slaw and their own beer are not to be missed! The prices are really reasonable and portions huge, you've got to go here!

Favorite fish and chips in Carlsbad. Same spot as long as I can remember. Eat in or take to go. Friendly staff.

As usual, very delicious fish and chips, staff were awesome and so kind towards our Max. He even scored a couple of doggy chips.

This has the best fish, not smelly or greasy, its just the best with a wonderful crust and the best tasting fish ever. The price is great and at the ocean with the park beside it is wonderful, I think you will agree with me

We went to Harbor Fish Cafe after spending some time at Carlsbad Beach. My husband and I enjoyed having fish and chips. My daughter had shrimp and fish and her sister just wanted a side of fries.

We stopped by for spring break lunch and easily got a table with a table with a lovely view. Nice wait staff. But the food was by and large, incredibly bland (maybe catering to seniors?). The grilled fish taco was a good piece of fish, but it was horribly over cooked and seasoned with… nothing? The fried version was fine, but also without flavor. Standard, cold shredded cheddar and cabbage slaw did not add anything. The spicy fries were unevenly seasoned. I was just surprised to get such mediocre seafood in a California seaside town. I’d go for a beer at sunset.

First visit and definitely not the last period great quality food. Had the jumbo shrimp and they were amazing. Good job guys, quick service with a smile.

Right off the beach with left side able to see sunset and right side in shade - pick since slight wait for sunset side. I had fish & shrimp while my wife had the house battered shrimp. Fish was tender & flaky with a very good batter. Shrimp not as good as my wife's hand battered shrimp which were very good. I would definitely eat here again..

Harbor Fish Cafe never fails to maintain its status as. one of our local favorites for any occasion. Today’s meal was an anniversary lunch celebration and a walk along the beach. Service is always friendly and they even offer to bring water for your dog if you bring one. Food is delicious and even tastier in this ideal California coastal resort town.

Such a cute little hole in the wall, with fresh fish and a great view of the ocean (from half of the restaurant). Amazing, fresh shrimp and some fish and chips.
