Don't come to this restaurant when your super hungry or want food to come to you within an hour. They will either forget you exist or over an hour later realize they didn't put in your order. After waiting an hour and a half with two hungry children, the server said our food was "ready" we waited 20 more minutes and left. Walked across the street and ate within 10 minutes at barrel burger. When I told the server we were leaving (women with long brown pony tail) she rolled her eyes. Not family friendly and not friendly period. Never again.
Walked in as a party of 7 this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised that they could seat us so quickly. We sat by the front window and had friendly and attentive service. Everyone's food was delicious and the drinks were good too. It's a cute little spot that likely gets passed up for some of the other options on the main drag.

Had just arrived from the east coast. Wandering around deciding what to do for dinner. Had every intention of getting seafood when I walked past and saw a table whose food had just been delivered. Looked amazing. Decided to try it. Glad I did. Portions sizes plentiful, took the leftovers back to my hotel and ate them the next day. Chips and salsa were awesome. The salsa was so flavorful and fresh. You can’t always say that at some places. Usually, it’s just a filler but I couldn’t get enough of these. Maybe that’s why I had so much food leftover. Very friendly, however service was slow. I wasn’t in a hurry but it took a while for anyone to ask me about a drink, food, check. I usually try to stay away from State st, restaurants, most “tourists” end up there. But I found this place delightful. Will def be back on my next trip.
Excellent combo plate, served very hot and full of flavor. Service was perfect with multiple people filling drinks and making sure everything was good.
Can't go wrong! Casual but festive atmosphere in a cool coastal town. Chicken fajitas were perfect! Staff were friendly and happy, great festive Mexican experience at the outdoor patio and interior.
If you find yourself in Carlsbad in need of good Mexican food, this is your place. Great selections, hard to make a decision, I had the shrimp burrito, excellent! You won't be disappointed!
Perfect little sidewalk spot with our dogs. Good food and great skinny margaritas. Friendly staff.
At first it seemed ok. Hostess was super sweet and set us promptly. Food and drinks were ordered and came out in a decent amount of time. Once food arrived, waiter never came back to offer drink refills. Food was not seasoned well at all. The 1 star was for the salsa which was half way decent. Not a go to Mexican restaurant in SoCal
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! The food was fresh, hot and delicious! Service was fast, friendly and outstanding! As usual, asking a local led me to another great place.
