Drinks are excellent! Waiter was great! Food is okay. Location is excellent with the ocean view. I would come back for the drinks and watch the sunset. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Egg Omelette. It was okay, it has a lot going on inside, just wasn’t a good combination of what was in it. I felt there could have been more meat. Too much guacamole that caused a mess.
I love this place. I work regularly in Carlsbad and always come here for dinner. As a female solo traveler, I feel totally welcome in the fun bar setting and always get a friendly waitress, and great drinks/dinner. And afterwards you can even walk that great beach and watch the sun set.
Food was great tried a couple signature drinks Hendricks blueberry Collins and a cold brew martini with hazelnut liqueur both were great. Wer not drinkers but we both had 2 shrimp cocktail was great my wifehad oysters Rockefeller she loved she also had a grilled cod taco that was huge I had fish and chips four good size pieces only fish and chip this week where more fish then chips going back for lunch tomorrow and location is great wonderful view outdoor indoor seating great service from all staff hostess was great in getting us the table we requested and we went to have drink in the bar while waiting for table where again service was great waiter was also attentive without being distracting great place if your in Carlsbad a must try
Dini's food is nothing too fancy, but it is great. We loved this place and will be back. We were without reservations, but the wait was not long at all. The Hostess was ever so nice and friendly. She gave us a menu to look at so we were ready when we sat down. They have a great selection of food, from super salmon to burgers. The wait staff is friendly and you will not be ignored. We had a mix of food and shared it all. First there was the fish and chips which were cooked to perfection and just wonderful as were the fries that came with it. We also had a bowl of clam chowder and it was loaded with clams and really great. My grandson ordered a burger and loved it so much he almost forgot we were sharing. It was fantastic, cooked the way we like it. Their salmon was so good. Cooked so nicely and very tender with lovely little potatoes. Finally, we had a flat iron steak and it was the bomb. We were in heaven. If you are in Carlsbad avoid the stuffy places, we have found them to be not good at all. Go here. You will love it.
We were too late for sunset, and it was too cold to sit in their outdoor dining area, but could see the potential for sunset viewing. Our food was very good and they had a nice mix of seafood, meat and veg items. Desserts were delicious too. My only complaint is that the restaurant's lighting at night is very dark. We were squinting to see our meal and each other. It sort of was comical. Maybe we just don't appreciate ambience? Service was fine. Definitely a local's spot (sort of loud). Would definitely eat here again on a return trip to Carlsbad. Our teens were with us and they also enjoyed. Believe they have a happy hour as well.
Nice hidden gem sitting in plain sight. Attached to the Tamarack Beach Resort. I wish I had tried it when I stayed there last year. Anyways this place is a hopping little bar and grill that definitely has its fair share of locals.Good drinks. Didn't try the food, although there was plenty to choose from. Looks out at the ped and bike path next to the beach. Great setting. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. It does get busy. Worth the wait, just for the atmosphere.Will definitely visit again. It's Carlsbad. Nuff said.
The food was delicious and the view is wonderful. Eggs Benedict and French toast. You can always tell a good eggs Benedict by the eggs, these were perfectly poached and the tick ran out when I cut into it. The only reason we are going with three stars is because our service was awful. We had to ask for the muffins that came with our meal, and we had to ask for water. We heard other waitstaff around us offer these things to their tables so I think it was just our server. Would definitely come back next time we are in the area.
Stopped here for a quick beer and the view of the ocean, got both. Service was great and was on my way with no troubles...
Such a cute, cozy restaurant with wonderful staff! Our waiter was attentive and kind. The food was so fresh and delicious! The atmosphere is relaxing, with a great view of the ocean!
We stopped here for brunch and had a wonderful experience. Right across the street from the beach it was perfect. The food was delicious along with spicy bloody Maria's! Service was great and the price wasn't too bad at All. It was all yummy!! I'm sorry I didn't even think to take pictures it was so delicious and we ate so quickly!
