I don't usually do this in my reviews but I feel like breaking it down this time for the benefit of the public. Hope y'all find this review usefulFood - It may not be that authentic but they do taste really good. So if you are looking for a non-authentic BUT high quality Mexican Food that is cooked right, prepared neatly well this should be your go to place.Ambiance - The ambiance is quite relaxing. Music is not too loud and they have an outdoor sitting that has an amazing view of Ocean Hills (District of Carlsbad). It's not the best view so don't expect too much but it's pleasant enough to look at.Drinks (Now... Here we go!) - The drinks are the best here. If you are looking for some good Blanco tequilas, this is the right place for you. I've tried this drink called San Miguel and it's really quite refreshing. I've also made some modifications to the drinks because I don't like grapefruit so the Bartender replaced it with Sprite.Service - Our server Jamie is amazing!!Price - ReasonableWe will definitely return and might bring some of our friends
Went on Saturday June 18th in the early afternoon. Not too busy and we sat outside in the patio. Ordered Chicken Milanesa Torta, pretty good but slightly dry so asked for some salsa on the side. Solid place, nice aesthetics
Just happened upon this place (new in the area). Sopes were fantastic, as well as their Margaritas. Will return, for sure!!!
The customer service was fantastic The cocktails were fantastic. Try the Paloma It was great! I have the Tijuana the Caesar salad with shrimp and the Mexican Cobb salad were really good. I did not enjoy the flavor carnitas taco. We also had the chicken tortilla soup and the pollo asado taco.
We went to Casero twice this week, once for happy hour, and once for brunch - I was really happy with the food and service both times.
Amazing Food!Atmosphere is great or take out if needed. The staff is great.
Have a fave Taco Tuesday location? Well you might just need to rethink that. $4 tacos from a good selection of choices and the chips and salsa are noteworthy. The music is upbeat and adds to the ambiance without being auditorily overwhelming. Be sure to examine their rotating beer selection for the appropriate pairing. This place is amazing I love the ambiance and home made tortillas are just unique ! Great cooks thanks for that extra energy and getting fresh tortillas every day !
4 Shrimp in the SHRIMP burrito. Laughable really. I asked for a side of corn tortilla with my salad and the manager brought me one rolled in foil while we were eating the chips and salsa- not a plate in sight. She just brings it over as if it was a napkin. Please send this establishment a trainer for EVERYONE. Strange way to run a business. This was our second try and we were being generous to override our first experience here. Oh well. Barrio in Carlsbad Village will remain our go to. We tried-TWICE.Per the reply from management: we WERE giving you another try. And I was being moderate in my review. I left out that my salad was wilted. It seems the mixed greens are stored too close to something hot/warm. I ate it anyway because it was Valentine’s Day and I didn’t want to fuss. But then my husband and his burrito fail. SO no thank you.
Went here the other day and I was amazing. It's a beautiful restaurant but I wasn't expecting the best service. There is a nice gentleman his name is Timmy. He was out waiter. The restaurant was busy and he managed to get my order right. I'm allergic to certain things and he made sure to do it right the first time. I've been to several restaurants and always something messes up and I can't eat it. But this gentleman made sure my meal was perfect.If I can give this place 10 stars I would.Be back next week. Make sure to ask for the best waiter.
