The staff were awesome, attentive to your needs, fast friendly service, food was delicious, great ambience. I got the shrimp linguini and the salad were so delicious. Bread too yummy! Others enjoyed their food too.
Dropped in today on a whim and really enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the place.The decor is really captivating! A lot to look at and definitely has character.Food is typical diner food - it's not the best, but it's not the worst! I will say I had a Greek Salad and I think it was the biggest Greek Salad I've seen! It wasn't very fresh, though.Service was subpar.There was one other table in the restaurant but we weren't even checked on - we had to flag down the host for a check and box.Will definitely try this spot again in the future.
I highly recommend the Wild Salmon Dinner (wild from the Pacific). It has a wonderful homemade sauce over it & the salmon is ALWAYS fresh. I have had it at least 40 times in the last 8 years and I have never been disappointed. Anything from their breakfast menu is awesome as well.
My 2nd time eating at Bobbies Hideaway Cafe. 1st time was an Ortega omelet. So classic clean tasty and good. Staff is super friendly and well chosen. Just ordered the meatloaf sandwich. Was iffy on ordering it but so glad I did. Probably the single best sandwich ? I can ever remember ordering. Ill be back. Very nice place. Oceanside has a lack of really good restaurants to choose from. This is my new go-to.
This is a great stop for breakfast or lunch. Easy off and back on Hwy 78 just before you get to Interstate 5. They had to relocate to this spot so please give them a try and support a local Carlsbad business trying to get back on their feet. The food is really good, friendly staff and the owner is a gem!
Great meal! The chicken fried steak was delish! The veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly, not those soggy type things you usually push to the side of your dish. Even the asparagus in the cream of asparagus soup was al dente just like I make mine!It was my first time but definitely not my last, this might be my new go to.Nice staff as well!
The best French Onion soup hands down!!! I've love just about everything I've eaten there, and the service is terrific!
