The foods was Great! Service on it and the cocktails were really good. Itâs our husband and I date night place.
Great seafood and many choices. Sides are also excellent and atmosphere is casual and restaurant is very clean.
I ordered the Salmon on a Plank served over most wonderful cheese scalloped potatoes and broccolini. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the dinner was a 10+! My friend had the special fish of the day and said it was excellent. I also liked that you could 2 sizes of a glass of wine!
We had a patio table and were allowed to bring our dog. Everything v was great- food, service, ambience.
Nice outdoor dinner Saturday night. Food was very good, especially the smoked Salmon appetizer, Trout Almandine and Mussels w Chorizo. Service was excellent. Outdoor patio was very nice. Only downfall was the proximity to the railroad tracks and noise from trains every 15-20 mins or so. I larger beer selection would also be nice. Overall...very good dinner and nice evening.
Sand Dabs were tasteless, and the crab cakes were lukewarm. Server and management were helpful but it's tough to overcome poor food.
The food was decent but the poor experience was mainly due to the service, particularly, a waiter who didnât really be as attentive to us as he did other tables. My date and I spent more time watching and listening to the waiter have a conversation with the customers in front of us, than eating the actual food. From the waiterâs conversation with the customers in front of us, we also heard him say that he had COVID⦠I know there are various views on this so if youâre okay with that than thatâs fine⦠but for us, as soon as we heard that, we tried to get out as quickly as possible. All in all, the food was okay, but the service wasnât ideal.
I'll be honest - this is my fave restaurant in Carlsbad. I've lived here my entire life and have eaten my way all across the city and this place is my ultimate FAVORITE spot! Not only is the fish selection varied, there's something for the landlovers too. Grab the Mahi Mahi and Surf & Turf and call it a day!
Nice location at Carlsbad Villagge. Plenty parking in the back. Nice place and ambusnce seating inside or outside, but outside has train track nearby so at times can be noisy. Good service from lady. Good food seluction and easy to read menu. Manhattan chowder was good. Octpus apetizer charbroiled was good. Main entre Snapper good but too many sauces on fish and side. Dessert was good again too many sauces.
The food and service were very good! We were very happy with our meals.
