Super good quality ingredients. Service is very friendly. Solid ramen. It’s probably the best ramen place I’ve had in Carlsbad / San Diego Convoy St area. Japanese food in general tends to be a bit expensive in SD, but this ramen place is worth it!Re: wait time- Lunch is always a less wait (I went on a Sunday with family (4 people) and waited 10-15 min, dinner can be pretty crowded i went on a Friday night (waited 45min-1 hr). You used to be able to reserve a seat on yelp beforehand, but no longer can these days.Picture is spicy miso ramen.

Nice Ramen place with rice bowls.Located outside the mall, theater side... dining el fresco available... maybe a bit windy and loud with passing carsService staff is very friendly. THANK YOU ALYZZA!!We were in search of a mall that was dog friendly and had decent food choices (non food court). We discovered The Shoppes at Carlsbad. Here is what we ordered, but I will only review the food that I actually tasted.Chicken Ramen (white meat) $13.95Curry & Ramen Lunch Special $15.95Nagoya Karaage Rice Bowl $13.95; you get a couple of good bite size portions of chicken thighs that have been battered and deep fried. A sweet karaage sauce is drizzled on top. The chicken is tender and juicy. The sauce goes well with the rice.Charsu Pork Rice Bowl $13.95; this is not the charsu that comes with your ramen. This is actually chopped pork belly that has been glazed and browned on the flat iron. Its crispy, juicy and over yummy. The sweet sauce is caramelized on the pork so there is some smoky notes. Who does not love pork belly!!Beef Rib Ramen $21.95; you get a beef rib over ramen. There is plenty of fried garlic chips and fresh asparagus. The ramen is in a garlicy broth, but that could have been caused by the garlic chips. The beef rib had plenty of meat on it for those that love to gnaw. My suggestion is to dip the rib into the ramen broth and let it sit for a few minutes. The rib by itself was a bit on the dry side and the garlic chips really overpowered the broth... but if you love garlic this is the dish for you. ***NOTE Quantity for this dish is limited

Yummy! Have gone to other Ramen places in the area and they're all super super salty. I know my Ramen. The broth at this restaurant is pretty good. I'd come here again. Didn't know this place existed. So glad we found this place.

The noodle tasted very awesome. The bross reminded me of a well thought out plan. I was really impressed by the state of the bathroom. Very clean and unique in design. The design of the restaurant gives you a Japanese restaurant feel. Very small on the inside but packs a lot of power when the food comes out. Even in the small space the staff members are very good with not running into each other. The staff are very attentive to the customers. They also understand the menu very well. The bar seating is very comfortable. A perfect little quiet place to take a date.

This establishment was a staple in our household for the time I lived in Carlsbad. The ramen is flavorful with very distinct flavor profiles for each type. A rich tonkotsu broth and a hot spicy miso provodes you witha good base to choose your dishes journey. Well portioned food and worth the price point. The takoyaki is well made and always a hit. I would recommend eating hear and have suggested it to business partners that have come in from around the country.

I used to love this place, but my last experience absolutely turned me off. I placed a basic order online. Takoyaki, Pork Chashu bowl, and Umami Ramen. Show up at time displayed at checkout, which was 35 minutes past the time of order, only to find out my food wasn't finished. In fact I stood there for another 25 minutes waiting for the food to be finished.Got home only to find my Pork bowl was barely warm as if it had been sitting for 20 minutes and my Ramen didn't have the extra portion of Pork I paid 2.50 for. Start eating and find that my Pork bowl "meat" is almost all chunks of fat. Large chunks. Disgusting.Overall, highly disappointed. I will be visiting Gonzo Ramen up the street for future Ramen cravings. This is the second time my online experience was negative, but thought I would give another chance only to be let down.

Great ramen and friendly staff. It does take 25+ minutes for your order to come out though so be prepared to wait a little

Good spot for ramen and dinner small dishes. The place has lunch specials and a decent happy hour

This place is wonderful for ramen! My wife and I frequently visit for a quick dinner option. They tend to be busy, which says a lot. You need to visit this top ramen spot. You will not be disappointed.

It was Delish! Highly recommended.
