Very nice place but barely above average food. Pleasant and comfortable inside, spacious, shade covered patio outside. Build your own 5 ingredient 3 egg omelets are okay. Stingy on the egg but decent ingredients. Do highly recommend the Applewood bacon. Coffee cake is truly exceptional! Light, crumbly and get-the-last crumbs delicious. Service was very friendly and attentive. Only disappointments were the coffee (WAY too strong) and breakfast potatoes. The latter were chewy and barely warm. Sure they'd sat for a long while even though we were there early and hadn't been rewarmed on the grill before being served.

The Beach Plum Kitchen looks to provide chef quality food at affordable prices--they've done it. My son and I stopped by on a busy morning to grab a bite of breakfast and were instantly pleased. The space is open and clean and there's a nice buzz around the upscale diner. The food is, just as promised, chef quality. I absolutely loved my California Eggs Benedict--the delicious twist with this dish is their jalapeno hollandaise sauce. Because it's a meat free dish and I was hungry, I added a chicken sausage breakfast patty and it was perfect. You should check out this awesome breakfast spot for well crafted, delicious breakfasts and lunches.

Wow, awesome service and food. Had the granola bowl, fruit was sweet and fresh, yogurt drizzled with honey, huge portion! Hubby loved the strawberry pancakes. Shared an order of homemade biscuits and jam, yummy! Wish we were local, we’d be there every weekend. Take sone jam home with you.

My wife and I stopped in here for our last breakfast in Carlsbad. We were both very glad that we did. I had a build-your-own omelet and my wife went with the oatmeal. Both were very good. The sourdough bread was excellent as well as the jams that have. Our server Hannah was great. She was friendly to talk to and very efficient.

3 adults and 3 kids here for breakfast in the patio. Huge menu. Kids had chocolate chip pancakes, one had waffle and fried chicken and one had plain pancakes. Adults had eggs and avocado toast, coconut French toast and I had raspberry marscapone French toast. Not was too sweet for me but other plates were very good. Great waitstaff!

Food was really good, waiting staff very nice. We had the raspberry mascapone French toast and the steak and eggs.Had a good laugh over the sign on the patio... people feed dogs off their plates?? ?

Attention all you sleepyheads! Ever feel cheated when your day is off to a later start, and you’re really in the mood for breakfast, but the restaurant you’re visiting denies your order because it’s after 11:30? Well fear not because Beach Plum Kitchen is here to support your night owl lifestyle as they dutifully continue to serve breakfast for as long as they’re open each day! While I’m honestly not sure how you could possibly order poorly off this menu, I went with the Carnitas and Eggs and it was absolutely delicious! Every single item on my plate was terrific and it’s my understanding that Hollywood will soon announce that both salsas will be awarded for their “supporting roles.” And that’s…Henry’s Take. @henrystake

they made me,seat in bad seat, for breakfast, charge too much for coffee, and breakfast,so I left a bad tip while I was in the Bathroom somebody turned light off It must have been that Waitress,Ever hear of Expression Customer is always right?

Breakfast for four on a Tuesday. Portions were reasonable and the food was good but nothing memorable. The Fried Chicken and Waffles is really a Panko chicken schnitzel. Prices were typical SoCal. Wouldn’t make a special trip to go back. But wouldn’t avoid the place either

We had already found the Tin Leaf Kitchen and noticed that this restaurant was from the same group and wanted to give the Beach Plum Kitchen a try. The lobster roll was delicious and service once we were at the restaurant location was great. Calling the restaurant to speak to a human was more complicated than it should have been which may have been influenced by the time of day that I called. But in the end, the food was worth the confusion.
