We had the moonlight mango smoothie and the banana split smoothie. Both were very good! The games were a nice added touch for a little break in our day!
Tried their Beach City Acai Bowl and I didnt regret it. Fresh fruits with granola. Perfect for warm day.
Very fresh and tasty smoothies, great location for people watching. Favorite was strawberry colada with frozen yogurt and protein, all others were great too.
Great smoothie with affordable protein add on. Staff was great, perfect spot to grab a smoothie and then walk downtown Carlsbad. We will be back for sure
Super friendly staff. Great little place. Had fresh juice. I juice at home, and am pretty picky about my juice. This place had a wonderful “ABC” my wife had a juice with chard. Just great. Taste was great and the smoothies are awesome too. Brought my kids back around lunchtime after the beach for smoothies. Perfect.
Beach City Smoothies offers a fruitastic array of smoothies and juices. My wife got a mango smoothie which was delicious and cooling on a hot day. I got a giant cup of carrot juice and drank it way too quickly.I might recommend ordering through their app as there was a 20 minute wait to order despite the wonderful staff working very, very hard to get through all the mobile orders on a busy Sunday.
Service was very slow, but I get that post covid, help is short everywhere. It also appeared that the employee was in training, it took almost 30 mins from waiting in line to receiving our smoothie. But hey we could have come on an off day. But my real issue is the way the smoothies are made with what appears to be fruit syrups. I have read from the owner that they are crushed fruit in those pumps. But the taste was extremely artificial. I do think they use fresh bananas, but all other fruit comes from their line up of fruit pumps. They were friendly, but as a local resident I would not recommend if you are looking for a smoothie with fresh fruit. If you that is not a sticking point for you, you may enjoy this spot. Also as a side note, I did read you can request fresh fruit, but I didn't get that option in store, nor did I think I needed to, because I would assume it would have been made that way in the first place. Giving them 3 stars because I don't believe in trashing or tanking scores, but suggest more transparency in ordering options.
The Acai bowl here is my favorite. I liked the old granola they had better, but the bowls are still great, and the service is consistent.
We visited the area and found Beach City Smoothies on a brochure at our hotel. The smoothies were so good we went back before we drove back to LA. They were made fresh and are delicious. We hope to visit again sooner than later.
Unfortunately I'm allergic to cats and dogs. As I was waiting for my smoothie and acai bowl, a dog came out and was running around the place. Made me uncomfortable I had to leave right away as soon as I got my order. The dog even came up to me to sniff me, and now I was itchy for hours after that encounter. First time here and last time. A dog running around in a business is unprofessional, got to think of the customers.
