Great little cafe in Carlsbad. We got takeout salads and sandwiches to bring to Carruth Cellars right next door, and the server even hand delivered our food to the winery. They had a nice menu with salads and sandwiches, including lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. Coffee was also delicious. They also had a nice selection of craft beers and wine to enjoy.
Baba Coffee not only has coffee and tea and breakfast pastries, but now has mimosas, wine, and beer. I had a piece of quiche and it seemed homemade and tasted delicious.
Over 20 minute wait for $12 lox bagel and $7 orange juice. Good coffee and customer service. You’re better off going out to breakfast to Shorehouse Kitchen or Swami’s Cafe.
Had to try this hip little place. Ordered breakfast Açaí bowl, bagel with cream cheese egg and avocado, small espresso and tea. Super pricey $32 total. For a mimosa it was $12, that I can’t understand unless it came with gold shaving in it... spot was cool but way overpriced thus the 4 stars.
First and foremost, the coffee here is AMAZE... I’ve been to some corporate places I won’t name and their coffee tastes like burnt asphalt and rubber... NOT AT BABA! Can it be?! A place that has coffee that actually tastes like ... wait for it... GOOD COFFEE!?Secondly, what I really respect about the ownership is they give people a choice on masks. I love this. If people want to wear it they can... if they don’t... they don’t have to... and they don’t make the staff wear them!!? I mean.. hello ... are you hiring!? Haha it’s really friendly there regardless of anything you believe in personally. Just darn good coffee!
Try the Lemon ginger honey tea. It’s so good. Now let me get back to beating my husband at uno....
The burnette barista was SUPER nice and friendly, however, they serve Pannikin coffee and charge higher prices for it. Go to Lofty for better coffee.
We are in the middle of the Covid Omicron surge so you expect service workers to follow recommendations. No coffee is worth risking illness, so we walked across the street and bought drinks from a business that "masks up"
Great latte (overpriced but so it goes in SoCal) and sandwich, adorable little joint, love the vibe. Barista was super nice. Wear a jacket as doors were all open despite cold weather. I didn’t mind. They offer blankets for use which was the perfect touch. Will be back!
Great set-up. Very comfortable welcoming environment. Staff are amiable and knowledgeable. Owner is amazing. All together 6 star experience. Looking forward to coming back.
