I’ve come in a few times with either my boyfriend, friends, and even made a reservation once for a little “end of the year” work party. Overall, the ambiance is just outstanding!! Whenever I walk right in i’m greeted and told I’m free to sit wherever. Right away as I’m seated I’m offered water and asked if I’d like anything in particular to drink. My absolute favorite time to come in is for breakfast! They have these potato cakes that are literally to die for. My go to order is for sure a potato cake and a bottomless mimosa. There’s a nice guy who is always there in the mornings and helps me customize my potato cake with sides and knows the menu so well whereas he can suggest anything without looking at it. The wine list here is also a must try. I have yet to find the bottles they carry in store and one bottle for a table is reasonably priced. Highly recommend the sauvignon blanc. This place puts sandwiches to a whole another level. All in all the vibes here are immaculate, intimate, and always a phenomenal time. I have yet to find another restaurant like American Hero’s and Brew.

I enjoyed eating here! For a Friday night, it wasn’t very busy, which was actually nice. We got the Tombstone burger and the special, the Baltimore Pit Beef. Both super delicious sandwiches which I’d happily eat any day. Only down side is the price is a bit high to not come with fries or any side. The staff was super friendly and pleasant!

What a fantastic place for breakfast in Carlsbad. Breakfast was affordable. No wait for breakfast in Carlsbad is hard to find. The food was terrific. I had the Bluffton. The chicken was very tender and the sausage gravy I had was delicious.Would highly recommend their breakfast menu. They don’t have a lot of pictures on the menu. I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times , a delight time I try something different.The sports are awesome here. You can catch every game and they’ll turn on whatever you’d like. On Sundays American Heroes & Brew has every NFL game. If you’re looking for sports on a weekend in Carlsbad this spot has ton of TVs and all the games.Billy, the owner, is friendly and the staff is very welcoming. This is one of my go to spots for sports and breakfast in Carlsbad.
American Heroes and Brew immediately hooked me and became my favorite place to go as a Carlsbad local. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, The FOOD here is out of this world!!For someone like me, who is a picky eater, and loves a good sandwich or fries, they never ever disappoint. Not only are they tasty, but you can tell the quality of the ingredients the kitchen uses to cook, and they really care about what they put out for their guests.The beer on tap is solid, lots of local brewery options, and light beer and seltzer options in bottles and cans too.There is seriously no better place to watch sports in Carlsbad, they have nearly every sports package on TV, and this place is especially fun on NFL Sundays where they have all the TV’s playing different games! They also play games with the sound on the speakers for bigger events, otherwise the music is always on point.Some of my favorite sandwiches are the Manhattan as a Reuben, the Philadelphia, the Brooklyn meatball, and the Miami Cuban sandwich. I’m also a fan of their adult chicken tenders, served with lots of chicken and fries (because what adult doesn’t secretly want chicken tenders, let’s be real…). Save some room for the Cheesecake or Key Lime Pie, it’s unbelievably good and homemade!The owner clearly puts his heart and soul into this place, and introduces himself on the floor while serving patrons and telling the story of this locally owned establishment.The loaded fries are delicious and come with all sorts of toppings, and can come with an awesome house gravy and Loco Moco style. If you’re looking for really healthy options, the Salads will most definitely satisfy, Strawberry Fields is a fan favorite among my friends I bring here.They serve a killer breakfast with Benedict’s and other classics on the weekends, and the bottomless mimosas are all day every day, whenever you want. They also incorporate new monthly specials that are truly creative.The staff and customer service is top notch for San Diego. Don’t miss checking this place out whether you’re a local to San Diego or Carlsbad, or simply visiting, you will receive the best customer service in town, and taste some of the best food I’ve ever had in San Diego County (especially Carlsbad). Highly recommend 10/10!!
Great food and great service. We ordered the loaded fries and the Los Angeles. Both were delicious! We also had the privilege of meeting the owner Billy while visiting Carlsbad. Great guy who takes so much pride in his country and in his work. This is definitely a place you don’t want to miss while visiting Carlsbad.

Great food. Really impressed for a casual sandwich spot on the quality of ingredients and attention to detail. The service is excellent. Great drink selection and happy hour. Will be back.
