Sericice was great. Food was great. A bit pricey but hey, is Cali!!

This is a spot with so much potential. Beautifully decorated with an outdoor/indoor set up. Fireplace, heaters for cooler days in the outdoor area - someone had a great idea in mind. But the food is just okay. Not bad, but not great either. More importantly, the service was some of the worst I've ever experienced. Our waitress was sweet, but seemed overwhelmed even though the restaurant was not full. 30-40 minutes after we placed our order, 1/2 of the orders were served. 30 minutes after that, we were still waiting for the rest our party to be served food. We had to remind the staff 3 times that we were still waiting for our meals & exactly what meals were missing. Those of us who had been served politely waited for everyone to be served their food, so those dishes were no longer warm. The staff did casually apologize but never recognized just how off the experience was. Maybe it was a bad day, but it didn't seem server-related - specific to our server. The entire staff seemed to be scrambling.
Good and ambiance were great as was parking. The service was slow and not great- so so. Overall it was a good experience if you can wait for your food.

Service at this restaurant was inconsistent and not as well run compared to the restaurant Twenty. - Host at the front disregard people waiting in line and offered to seat someone who just walked up to the desk - place setting missing on tables, customer have to wait for napkin/flatware after food arrived
The service was poor. They were busy and the server seemed new and lost. Didn’t bring my appetizer out and brought my to go food out with dinner. Checked on us 1 time…
Good experience
7 Mile was listed as a recommended restaurant for the Carlsbad area. We made reservations and arrived early. We discovered that 7 Mile is part of the Sheraton hotel above Legoland. The restaurant overlooks the pool area, which was quite busy and noisy with children. The service was so-so. The waiter apologized numerous times for the delays (delayed delivery of cocktails, salad and main course). Food was satisfactory; typical resort fare; burgers, pizza, and a few high end items. Restaurant advertised that it provided 7 mile view of Carlsbad coast. Not so. Restaurant is set back on the hill and view is obstructed by other hotels.
