AWESOMENESS!! One of the Best Italian Restaurants in San Diego. What a excellent experience. Definitely not your typical restaurant layout. But it works so well for this restaurant. All of the staff members were very helpful, attentive, and friendly. Our waitress, Benedetta was the best. She was knowledgeable, she was quick, she was attentive, and very kind and funny! We had very good conversations when she could! The atmosphere here was just perfect, good amount of noise and quietness. Lots of families eating here tonight. The restaurant is family owned. They opened up about a year ago. They are doing such an incredible job.The food did not disappoint one bit. The octopus, the soft bread, the salad, the lasagna, the tortelloni, the dessert…. Everything was so fresh, so delicious, so tasty, so good.Easy one of the Best Restaurants in San Diego.Thank you all for this excellent experience!
Very large spacious ambiance for a great Italian restaurant. One true outstanding food feature is the soft pasta and gnocchi: one can easily tell that they are not packaged and boiled. I like the grocery store pasta, but the “home made” is a not-often-done experience to treasure. My friend and I (both with Italian heritage) enjoyed reading the Italian menu items. The weather was perfect Southern California Coast Evening for our dinner. Our “cameriere” had a lot of Italian style fun with us! Absolutely… the food was delicious!
Came for lunch and was not disappointed. Clean and open atmosphere with exceptional service. The food was authentic and delicious. I had the italiana salad and their scratch-made lasagna. Portions were filling. You can tell a lot about the quality of an Italian restaurant by the lasagna. I will be back.
Hidden gem and almost didn’t find it but glad we did. Not your typical location for a restaurant but I’m glad we decide to come here anyways. Great customer service and the food was delicious. I have traveled to Italy and this food took me back. Restaurant is clean, simple and modern.
Great experience trying this place. The location is a little strange but the food and service is well worth locating it. Everything we had was delicious, great personal service in a unique location that also has outdoor seating available.
Really good food, homemade style Italian food. Pasta is made there, delicious. Pizza crust is fluffy inside and crunchy outside, really good. The menu is not long although they have a good selection of dishes. The prices are not low nor high. It's a good place for a date night or lunch with friends.
Very nice restaurant, super attentive staff. Food was very good. It is a different style of Italian food than what we are used to. My wife and daughter thought it was great. I personally prefer a deep red, rich "cooked all-day" marinara, or meat sauce. Their style was more of a cream based sauce. Very tasty, with fresh ingredients.
Wow, this is off the beaten path yet worth the trip. Some of the best Italian food I have ever had, our server Sarah helped my wife and I make that crucial decision on what to have as there are many appealing options on the menu. I had the Tagliatelle Bolognese while my wife had the Balanzoni Pasticciati. The portions were ample and well prepared. For dessert we had a Dark Profiterol; an Italian crème puff in a chocolate sauce. Will definitely stop when in the area. Giacomo runs a first class restaurant and was very personable and involved with customers throughout the evening.
Well hidden restaurant but so worth finding! The walk-in wait was not too bad but I do suggest making a reservation ahead of time. The pizza is great but the pasta is where its at. Perfectly al dente and the cream sauce was made to perfection. Not too creamy and not watery, just right. They ran out of panna cotta by dessert time so we opted for the coconut mango cake. Very light and airy. The flavors were not too sweet which was perfect for the savory dishes. Perfect way to end the night. 10/10 recommend!! Coming back to bring the family ❤️
This place is wonderful. Menu is concise and thoughtful. Wine list is excellent. Staff if amazing. Seating is spaced well and lots of outdoor seating with heaters if needed. Only constructive criticism: bread is served in a bowl you would find at the dollar store. If you are going to do this at least line it with a linen. Do not recommend the "vegetable tempura " what you will get is a pile of extremely thin sliced vegetables, fried, no coating of any kind and little if any seasoning. While they were served hot they get cold very quickly and then you just have a pile of oily vegetables. If the vegs were cut thicker and presented differently it has a chance. The sauce served with it is tasty and interesting...but you only get a thimble full.
