AMAZING food and great service. We really enjoyed our experience at Geisha. Our server made the experience. She was helpful and informative as we navigated the menu. We loved our choices and the food was SOOO GOOD. We would definitely return when in the area again visiting friends. We got full really quickly but so tasty and wish I could have tried everything on the menu.
I have lived in Santa Clara California for 18 years since I married an American, before I lived in Kauai where I learned to appreciate Japanese culture and food. That's why whenever I can I choose start with edamame, miso soup, then sushi, sashimi, tempura, salmon or a classic bento box . Many weekends we go to different areas of the bay, Capitola is one of my favorites, especially in summer. We go to this restaurant for dinner, the atmosphere is incredible. They have many tables inside a very spacious room, there are always nice people, I love the decoration the quality of the food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable . They have vegetarian options and a good tea selection. The staff is friendly, professional the service is fast.I highly recommend this place for a fun moment with great food.
Vegan options are the best and unique in town! It is hard to find a roll that isn't just cucumber avo or tempura veggies - Geisha uses peanut sauce, toasted nuts, basil, fresh lime, pickled veggies, curry sauce, and more! Love this spot
The guy running the show has a small man complex and zero respect for his customers and the locals. There are far better people to give your money to
The bomb vegan options! The even carry vegan cream cheese and vegan garlic mayo! I can eat and all my Hamachi loving friends can too!
Solid sushi, great rolls, awesome service
Don’t get the Katsu chicken. Bland af
The best sushi in town. Generous portions and great vegan/vegetarian options as well. The location is beautiful with nice ocean views and the price is very reasonable all things considered.
Walked in and stood there for 5 min for in an almost empty restaurant for someone to acknowledge us. “Server” looked at me with a “Yes???, what do you want?” attitude, and when I told him a table for 2, he grumpily told me to pick a table, once again with the attitude, like I should have known to seat ourselves . Waited some time at the table without menus, so I finally found some at the front and helped myself. Sat there for at least 10 minutes longer without him coming to take our orders or bring water. Restaurant had to be at least 90 degrees and miserable. There was only one other table seated, so it wasn’t as if they’re were swamped. Even the sushi bar employees never greeted us or paid any attention when we stood there waiting for a table in almost empty restaurant. I was so excited to being my husband here for our anniversary dinner and instead, we walked out and grabbed a burrito downstairs. One of the worst near-dining experiences of my life.
Vegan options on the menu are clearly marked. Sushi is absolutely top-notch.
