We went to Caruso's for dinner while visiting Capitola. Be aware that the place is really small. Indoor seating is very limited. We were seated outside initially, but the server was kind enough to call us in when a seat opened up. We had ordered the vegetarians pizza and the Dischetti Al Tartufo. Both tasted good, especially the sauce in Dischetti Al Tarufo was excellent.We do not know what was the reason but they forgot about our order for a while. Then they realised later and got the food. It was 45 mins since we ordered. Also they got us gnocchi al forno instead of Dischetti Al Tartufo and we had to send it back.Overall we had a decent experience.
I ordered an espresso and their machine was down... our server bought me an espresso at a neighboring shop and brought it to our table. That's an excellent service I will never forget. The food here never disappoints either. 6 out of 5 stars, hands down and hats off.
We had never been to Capitola and the restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of a local wine bar. It turned out to be an excellent suggestion. Our server was Melissa and she was phenomenal: very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and we are already planning a trip back for this time next year.
I loved my food, but my wife hated hers. Service was very slow and getting quite cold as we waited outside. Besides my food, only pleasant is waitress.
My husband and I are in love with this place. It's very well maintained, owners are the nicest people I've ever seen. They care about this place a loot. Food is perfect, service is perfect and other visitors are perfect too. You'll feel welcomed here.Also they helped me a lot with food-to-go for my b-day party and I am very grateful for this.
Outstanding Italian food expertly prepared. Gnocci Italiani were soft velvety pillows with three fantastic sauces. The calamari were cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Wonderful food. Service not too great. Not enough help (like most places). Worth the wait though. Order an appetizer and enjoy the wait.
Has become a go to favorite I hope they can keep the outdoor seating
Literally the worst experience imaginable...... waited for almost an hour for our food of which we never got, service didn't exist either. However they had a good excuse: we make everything fresh!
Had the signature lasagna and truffle ravioli. The sauces were exquisite!
Our server was very kind and knowledgeable, and the food was amazing! We got the dischetta and the pizza prosciutto e funghi, all of it was excellent. Will need to come back to try the gnocchi
