This is 100% the best sushi in Los Angeles. Everything is perfection. Please don’t come here looking for a Philadelphia roll, spicy mayo anything or any other American style sushi. Also if you’re looking for inexpensive sushi go to the revolving sushi you’re used to going to. This is for hard core sushi aficionados. When you taste Go San’s fish you’ll understand why it’s the best. I highly recommend getting omakase but if you’re ordering separately you can’t go wrong with Hairy crab, Hokkaido uni, scallop sushi, ankimo, baby abalone sushi, sweet shrimp with roe…you just cannot go wrong with anything.
Absolutely incredible. The best sushi I’ve had outside of Japan. Was shocked by the price ($450 for a two person omakase), but the quality was there and the experience was truly special.
Reason for visiting: celebrate my new job (what what ?)Date/time of visit: Friday night, ~6:30 PMParking: in the shared lot with other businesses; freeParty size: 5 (2 kids)Environment/ambience: entrance is non-descript; only a green sign that says Sushi in front ?, next to Papa John's. Once inside, it's pretty empty and looks like a market when you walk in; it used to be a seafood market but converted into a small restaurant. No decorations or anything fancy. No TVs, etc; just a small sushi bar. Prob not a good place for kids but Go and the staff do try to accommodateService: was great. Sat at the bar, Go was serving/hosting and he was great. Other staff was friendly tooFood: great! We did Omakase so Go chose everything for us and it was fantastic. Every dish was great, except maybe the grilled bamboo. It was good, just not my thing.Cost: bill came out to $875, without tip.Features: no masks required inside and there's enough space to social distance. not enough space to be crowded
This was by far the best sushi I've ever had! We're talking 3 michelin stars!! Absolutely outstanding!!!!
I don’t recommend based on taste not related to service. It is not bad. Guess it is better than all you can eat? But the review is overrated. It is just my option and it is nice someone can enjoy this place.
Wow! A sushi lovers dream. Authentic and no soy sauce needed. The fish and service is world class.
The sushi here is on another level. A meal could easily run $200+ per person but the food is soo good its worth it.
Best sushi I've ever had. Good service. No menus or prices listed, just order directly from the chef.
Much more expensive sushi than you'd expect by looking at the shop, but well worth the price. A very authentic, nigiri sushi joint. No need for soy sauce as the chef will properly season the fish for you before serving. Reservations only
If you're willing to pay premium prices for each piece of sushi but demand the highest quality and ever changing and unique interpretations then this is the place for you! Each component is thought out and home made, every sauce made in house, and the fish is fresh and in season. The tastes are delicious and well worth it if you don't mind $6-14 per piece. Some is less expensive like the highly recommended tamago, but don't be surprised by the final bill. Enjoy!
