This is one of my favorite places. In regards to indian sweets, they do a phenomenal job. My favorite is thier milk cake, malai burfi, and jalebis.I started to go here for lunch and thay blew my mind also. Recommend the Chana Batura...And for all of those chai lovers, get the chai. It's an hidden gem, definently worth going.Oh, it's great for vegitarians! They also have vegan options.Vegetarian options: Completely vegitarian Dietary restrictions: Vegitarian options
Nice joint for simple Indian food or sweets. The lines are longer thes days! It took over half an hour in line to order our food. The food is still tasty and gives you an authentic taste of Punjab!Due to Covid-19, no exchange or returns. Adding one more star for personal attention! They have started food service inside though you are responsible for cleaning your own table. It was pretty clean and orderly.Vegetarian options: Only vegetarian food is served here! If you ask them to exclude Butter etc then some vegan dishes are also available.Parking: Plenty of parking available. Unless going during a major festival time, parking is not an issue. Disabled parking is also available.
In all my years of living in the US, I had the best customer experience at Baba Sweets. Here is why I say that. We are from the Stockton area and were visiting LA when we dined at this place upon our return back home. The restaurant was kept very clean including the restroom. Sardar brother who assisted us was the most cooperative person I had ever come across. I say this because I often see many people just hating their jobs and not putting any effort whatsoever to provide a pleasant experience to the customer. But my wife and I kept adding to our order and kept requiring additional items for our two year old son and he was quick to fulfill our numerous requests. I did not see him upset for even a second about having to listen to our numerous requests. On top of great customer service, their food was some of the best I have ever tasted. We ordered their special of the day which was makki di roti with saag and boy it was delicious. We also loved our combination thali. We ended up ordering food for our road trip as well and also purchased some snacks (loved their gujia). Everything tasted quite fresh. I was surprised to see their prices being so low despite providing excellent service and delicious food. This combo is hard to find these days. Many times I just end up tipping due to cultural pressures but this time I wanted to tip the brother from my heart. Alas he told me their cash register system does not allow them to add tips and I did not have any cash on me by some bad fortune. But I have added their restaurant as a favorite in my Google Maps and will make a special visit to dine at Baba Sweets whenever we go to LA next time. Keep it up guys.
5 stars all the way. I came in this place not expecting much but some fine crafted delicious desserts, instead I’m met with a tray of different curries and garlic nan to die for. Had a full meal + a small dessert and coffee for $12 whereas I would spend like $30 somewhere else not as worth it as this one. Props big time! Delicious food. Thanks Baba!
Love their sweets, their food and their gentle service. The prices are very decent. Have been here multiple times and never have I returned disheartened. One of the best Indian restaurants around LA.Chhole bature is a must try, the bature is not oily unlike other places. Very tasty and perfectly made. Their pindi channa is yummy as well.Demerit: they don’t use eco-friendly plates or cutlery or to-go boxes. Otherwise they would have been a 5 stars’ place for me.We just have one planet and it takes our collective effort to save it. Wish, everyone understood this.
Visited this place today and regretted it. Baba's son on the counter was so rude and arrogant. Food used to be good but not anymore. Ordered Chana Bhatura which was without any flavor. Baba used to be so nice and now these cheap punks are running the show. Prices for this lousy food is exorbitant. Never ever going to visit these bunch of arrogants.
Good food for cheaper prices. They have maintained that quality. Great for takeouts as indoor dining is closed. Can sit outside.
Great taste and feel fresh. Unlike so many other places, food here taste very fresh. They sell out every day, that’s why they have left over from previous day. Also, first place I came across in SoCal who serve sweets which taste as I used to eat back at home. Best part is this place is very affordable without compromise on quality
Some of the best homemade Indian food in the valley! Very flavorful and big portions. The price for the combo plates is amazing! The staff is very friendly and has offered me complimentary tea on numerous occasions. Their sweets are also really good and fairly priced.
Good food with nice punjabi flavors. Fairly priced. Friendly staff. Always busy as they offer Snacks, Lunch/Dinner combos, Sweets, etc.
