Steak House Italian

Very good quality but still I booked Sunday steak lunch without realizing it would be a pricey prix fixe brunch buffet

This was definitely an interesting and... memorable experience to say the least. For a steak house, they sure had a good variety of different options: bone marrow, oysters, caviar, koji-aged cuts, and more.As soon as we entered, we were given complimentary cups of bone broth (chicken) and we could sip on it while walking through the restaurant to our table. Great view of the kitchen and overall, a very modern and sleek interior. A very beautiful bar area too.As we're seated, we are immediately served by several people: water options, a walk-through of the menu, and... a strange veggie platter? They gave us one of EACH vegetable, so... one carrot, one snowpea, etc. I would've rather had multiple of one vegetable. It was a strange assortment. Their yuzu mascrapone was quite unique and tasty though! We decided on a few orders for two of us to share:+ Striped Bass Crudo: Incredible! The fish quality was delicious and the sauce with pickled rhubarb were very balanced. Not sure if it was worth such a big price tag of $24 for 5 pieces though.+ Agnolotti Al Brasato: Rather disappointing... The pasta was not very tender and too firm/thick. The beef filling was not very flavorful either. The light and hearty wine-demi glace was this dish's saving grace.+ Red Velvet Shoes: A sweet tequila cocktail that was very easy to drink, but it definitely has that tequila aftertaste! A nice subtle pomergranate flavor. The scorched orange slice atop the drink was sweet and juicy, but seemed randomly added to the drink.+ Prime Rib of Beef: SO GOOD! I was so in love with this. We got the English cut for us to share and it was so tender! Every bite just melted. The au ju was not too salty and quite hearty. The horse radish cream was excellent and contrasted the beef well. The croutons were a bit random and very hard to the bite.+ Sorbet Trio: That passionfruit ginger is STRONG, but quite the palette cleanser. The red wine and blood orange were much more yummy to end our meal. $9 for three scoops seemed a bit overpriced for what it was.Overall, everything seemed a bit overpriced for the portions and quality... but I would definitely come back to try their Koji-aged Bone-on New York. This was a beautiful restaurant to try for a special occasion. For my boyfriend and I's anniversary, they gave us a complimentary tiramisu! Very thoughtful and delicious. They also ended our meal with a strawberry kiwi probiotic shot. Cute freebies, but the candy bar was the most strange to me. Cheap Halloween candies mixed in with a couple Italian candies. Wouldn't expect to see Dum-dums at such a classy place!

Service and food is great

One of the high end steakhouse around Campbell Pruneyard. When you first walk in the door, you will be greeted with they bone broth. Following, you will be walking through the busy kitchen and seeing all the actions behind the scenes. The staffs are super friendly and helpful. The furnitures, the decors, the utensils are all well picked and assemble nicely all together. Then comes the food. You have a wide range of appetizers to pick from they are all in their pinnacle form as the size is a bit small, you might need to order couple appetizers. Similar goes for the pasta, the quality is great, the portion is pretty compact. Of course, you have selections of meat, divided in two main categories large format like tomahawk and small format like wagyu/snow beef. Aside from steak, you only have limited alternative like pork chop, salmon and lobster.Overall, the dinning is experience is excellent. I will say Be Steak A is similar to Alexander yet with some differences. Be Steak A focus more on the quality, a modern twist of the traditional steak house while Alexander gives you more selections in the cuts of meat but the cook quality is a notch off Be Steak A.Finally, it comes the price, the 5 of us, with a bottle of wine and some cocktails, it is above 900, 180 a person. However, if you just wanna enjoy the food, I will say you are looking at about 100-150 a person.

Excellent food, bring lots of $$$

We were surprised to find out this fancy steak place was owned by the the same owner of Orchard City Kitchen. OCK has been one of our favorite places in Campbell with their constantly updated menu and innovative tapas selections. BE.STEAK.A is a pretty upscale restaurant. We got offered free warm chicken soup as they welcomed us and a complimentary veggie plate. The salt and pepper were in cute containers. I love the Bamboo cocktail and their yam stone sides. Steaks were decent. Make sure to get the lavender panna cotta as this dessert is amazing? They have some free candies for you to take away afterwards too.

The bartenders are my fave! They are taken care of by management and they love their work! Plus it’s lovely to chat and hang whiling shipping your fav cocktail

Really enjoyed the food. Our server realized our pasta dish was taking too long and checked on it without us even asking. He found out it had been missed so he gave us a complimentary dessert! This was our second time and will definitely come back, maybe for brunch next time.

Food is really good looking, service is great, even the cocktails are just magnificent. But that's all. Like an empty shell, the portions are tiny and the food is bland and quite dull. A couple of examples - a $29 SINGLE SCALLOP with 8-caviar fish eggs on top, served at an even lower than room temperature. A lobster frito misto at $14 that was just four bland things fried, no taste, including a 90% raw pearl onion that only God knows what it did there. And when we got a pasta dish that was WAY undercooked than al-dente, the server took it to the kitchen and came back with "the chef agreed that it's undercooked". Oh thank you very much chef! I usually don't write that strongly, especially when I don't like it, but this time the restaurant really went above and beyond to make me angry!!!

Good, expensive. Our server suggested some drinks with amusingly original but strange and not very memorable names (can't remember mine's name) but they were very good. Our server promised if we don't like them he'd gladly drink our drinks (he didn't have to).The food is delicious and excellent, the appetizer portions are a little (a lot) on the small size (the soup is even literally named Tiny), the main course portions are OK sized (the fillet steak was big), the desserts are dee-licious but again small.Very nice upscale atmosphere, even better food, but the atmosphere... lacks a little... coherence? It's a very worldly place: Italian restaurant, American city, Indian decor, French-size portions, (and Swiss prices!) that are really independently nice but don't necessarily go well together. The decor is nice, but no central theme or coherent style. The experience was very good and fancy, but seems more like a haphazardly assembled collection of things the owner likes than a planned coherent design.Still, the food and experience was excellent, despite the high price tag (we spent about $320 pretty couple including drinks and a nice tip).
