It Is such a classy setup to dine in, the wine cellars and variety of choices tell it all.I have order a delicious meal, it was tasty and their happy hour deal was great too.Thank you, I will be back again.
While the food wasn't overly creative, Twenty 88 did some of the basics really well. I was thrown off by the mishmash of offerings that seems to scream identity crisis more than eclectic. But, what they did, they did well. Strong meat choices like a Jalisco Short Ribs and good ole pork chops. Risotto with scampi, a special surf and turf with filet and lobster. I did notice the large portions and a few at our table ended up taking food home.A good choice of starters with limited dessert choices but all solid. They had a decent wine list and, I must say, the service was great. It's comforting to see the "team" of servers and bussers work in unison and our server (Kameron) had the right balance of chit chat without trying to hard. He made sure we had refills and had great timing and patience with our large group.This night we had a solo vocal guitarist that was great compliment to the venue. (aka I liked his music) Gong further, the inside dining was packed and noisy but not in a bad way. There was outdoor seating as well which might have been quieter despite being on the old town strip.I would say the prices were moderate to spendy for what you get and well worth it for a group or an engaging night out. You have to find parking but not too bad on this busy night.
My girlfriends chicken was good and my fries were over done but had good flavor so I'm giving two stars instead of 1. Our food took over 30 minutes to get to us with a relatively small amount of customers eating. What ruins the place for me was the Rib Eye that I ordered. $54 and was one or the worst steaks I've ever had at a restaurant. The flavor was extremely poor and the steak in several spots had a bad texture and was overcooked. When talking to the server I explained my issues. He went to talk to the chef and returned saying "we don't freeze our steaks so the quality is on the spot". If you care about quality enough to not freeze your steaks then please care enough to look and see if the cut is worthy of $54. If not lower the price to $15 - $20 because at BEST its in this range. Super disappointed for how delicious everything looked online.
Food was tasty, service great, and the live music made it an enjoyable evening.
Wonderful, clean and delicious. Great dining experience. Happy hour was incredible, we had a great variety of different foods so we could try it all. Seriously 5 ?
Great place! a little pricey but good quality.
I haven't reviewed in a long time, but in the last decade of me travelling, this is the only place where I got a burger comparable to Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen burger. I can't decide which is my favorite. I've eaten thousands of burgers all over the US and some in Europe and I was actually shocked to find such a good burger.The fries were the best I've ever had, as well. My wife got the mini surf and turf, but was unimpressed with the overcooked steak. She did, however, say the ahi tuna was perfectly seasoned and the best she's ever had.Cameron was the best waiter I've had in this part of the country. Super attentive and polite, very personable. This is probably the only review I'll do for a restaurant in this part of the country.
First time here, great location and cuisine. Would have been 10 stars, the hostess was was excellent, and our server was nothing short of next level incredible-on every level.What earned this place 3 stars, was the manager. His lack of people skills manifested it 2x that night, from his snarky comment to my date who showed up early, and then to myself when I went inside to wash my hands later. Not how I would run my establishment, but hey, no sweat, run yours however you like. As it turns out, there are no shortage of alternate options in this area, hence not being in any rush to return.
L❤VED 2088. HOSTESS WAS A DOLL, THE MANAGER INTRODUCED HIMSELF , VERY SWEET TOUCH. OUR WAITER WAS PERFECT, EVEN THO HE WAS SLAMMED BUSY WITH DINERS AND FOOD....FABULOUYS!!! WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK!!P.S. DESSERTS ARE TO DIE FOR????????????
Great! From start to finish. Cameron was awesome! Best service we've had probably ever. And I mean ever. Went above and beyond. Very attentive! On his game and didn't miss a beat. Thank you for making a good place great!!!
