Went in greeted by a host / Bruce I guess the name. Wasn't very pleasant. And seated us and didn't even give us a kids menu since I was with the family. And took a while for the server to come over. I guess he was still at the bar doing other work. And the customer behind us that went in got served first before we got our order. We were ready to order but server was slow at the time even it wasn't really that busy. In fact they were over staff so there shouldn't be a reason any delay. But server was very pleasant and nice. My food was prep perfect. Good spice.
Never really had an issue with this location until now. Just read on Twitter how you guys gave an employee a FINAL written warning about her “negative attitude” and “causing a disruptive scene”. When she asked for the video proof of her actions, management said no. They told this employee to get the police involved if she wanted proof on why they were reprimanding her. Absolutely absurd and unacceptable. (Probably a little illegal?) with costs of food inflation, amongst everything else these days, dining out is a treat for us all. Go spend your money at a place that respects their employees. With better food and better atmosphere. Do better Applebees. Do better, Amy Martin. Will never return or support this corporate restaurant.
The last couple times Applebee's service has really flopped. Went on a Monday night 2 HOURS before closing and waited nearly 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged my group of 3.... Slow night. They were not slammed by any means. 2 employees at the bar were talking and looked over at us several times but neither walked over to greet us. After waited to even be acknowledged, they refused to seat us in the perimeter booth area... when there was 2 booths with people on that side. Girl told us that section was "closed". Okay, what about at the other booth side ? Nope. Closed. The only option was the bar (big no. My mother physically would not be able to get seated at a chair that high) , OR option #2: to be seated in a small corner of the bar booth area where literally EVERY table is filled . Also big no. With Covid STILL AROUND it is ridiculous that parties are not being spread out . They would rather cram every one in ONE section of the restaurant and lose customers, than accommodate. So dissapointing
I strayed away from the steak or chicken. That was a huge mistake.. I had a rice bowl it was more like a Salad.Appetizers were good. 2 of the 4 meals were good.. Service was decent
Delicious food, great customer service. Loved how the manager walked around the restaurant to make sure everything was well with each table.

There service sucked I ordered from a delivery place they gave the driver half my order which i specifically called to to tell them make sure my order was together for I had this issue once before with them. I had to go back to get the rest of my order they were rude plus I ordered breadsticks which was an item missing and when I get there they say we don’t have any and didn’t try to refund me nor offer me somthing else mind you I already paid for them .
Applebee’s Camarillo had the most friendly staff today and our waitress Katie was awesomeShe was friendly, quick and always had an eye on our drinks.with quick refills!!!Thank you Katie!!!!
We were very happy with our server (Yecentia). We were greeted quickly, beverage orders on time, dinner was correct & tasty. Look forward to returning often.
Haven't been in years, steak was gamy, coconut/strawberry margarita was so sweet ?. Food was mediocre but it was nice to get out and service was good. I'll go back with less expectations.
