One of the best wine bar in town. We love their indoor seating, with comfortable lounge sofa and excellent vibe for wine tasting. They have friendly staff that gives great recommendations. We took 3 bottle home on our first impromptu visit, and are very happy and glad we did, because they also have some great wined on sale from time to time.
Hands down, best wine bar experience on the peninsula. Exceedingly knowledgeable and engaging staff. Fabulously curated selection of US and International wines. Great place to spend a pleasant late afternoon or evening. We never fail to try a new offering and come home with a bottle, or two, or three!
Always a great gathering at v48! The team is always accomodating to get us a spot. The spirts and atmosphere are great. We love the outdoor option which is great for people watching. Burlingame is lucky to have such a happening venue.

Each time I've visited has been really nice. The pourers are very knowledgeable and the vibe is chill and chatty. Order some snacks and kick it on the small patio out back.
Nice elegant place for the glass of wine you want. The duck liver is also awesome.
We love going to Velvet48 for a glass of wine. The food menu is fun too. The wine flights are always a great option. The staff is knowledgable about the wines and make great recommendations. Also, the small glass of something to taste as you sit is a fun addition!
Am a regular though have one comment about the older service staff â I feel that they could be more hospitable and friendlier.
