We were not impressed with the restaurant. It was just so-so. The service was good but the food was nothing special. The bread served was dry. With all the restaurants available in the area, Saltyard needs to improve their game.

We had family brunch. Food was great. Everyone was very friendly.

Food was ok, service was good. Nothing

Any food each one of us tried was very good. The service was fantastic. We stayed outdoors so it's different from inside dining. But overall we enjoyed our lunch and the restaurant.

It was our first time to dine there, went for a birthday celebration. The service was mostly friendly, ambience was nice, the salads were good, but all in all the main courses were disappointing. We ordered a couple of rib eyes, skirt steak and cioppino. The steaks were bland and the cioppino was runny.

We were seated next to a table of 8+ and with that and the music it was impossible to hear anyone at our own table. I thought the whiskey sour was lack luster and the beet salad was bland, but the carpaccio was excellent. The lamb shank was much appreciated and the caesar salad delightful. Prices are very reasonable. Parking was a challenge in this part of town.

I get on time to the reservation but they rush to make decision on the food bc they said kitchen will close in 7 minutes don’t understand if you’re about to close why take reservations when your closing des appointed food quality and taste poor I believe bc the time , it’s fine my bill only was over $ 300

Our first time there. Enjoyed it very much with good food and good value.

Very good food. We started with calamari and caesars salad and finished with our ribeye steaks..oh so good

I visited SaltYard for a lunch meeting. I was with colleagues and a close friend so the mood was light and fun. We were there for lunch and all of us had cleared our schedules so we had time to savor and enjoy the moments and meals. I was the last one to the table by a few minutes so the staff waited for me to arrive to start the heart of the service but everyone had water and snackables when I arrived. Once I was seated, the servers went through the menu. I had a little trouble trying to decide what to get but the server convinced me to try the Penne Pasta with chicken served in a cajun creamy pesto sauce. I had my doubts but I wanted to try it because the server recommended this dish with fervor and heart. So, when it came I was expecting a greenish pasta with penne and chicken mingling in a big white bowl. Instead, the pasta was served in a reddish, creamy, garlic infused pesto sauce. It was lightly spicy, perfectly proportioned, steamy hot and perfectly prepared. Each bite was savory and memorable. I literally wanted to lick the bowl but since I was technically at a business lunch I refrained from embarrassing myself. The server frequently checked on us even though we were busy throughout the meal discussing work, war stories, favorite past projects and dream locations for future projects. I was so immersed in this dish that I hardly remember starting it or eating the last bite..l only remember that it was devastatingly good. I shared my thoughts with the server as I was leaving. He never asked during the meal because I was so overwhelmed with enthusiasm while I was eating he was sure that I was happy. But when I told him how much I loved it he smiled knowingly and agreed with me that it is good, as if he had it for lunch himself (he probably did). The atmosphere in this restaurant is a warm, cabin like feel. Wine bottles adorn the walls on shelves throughout. The lighting is subtle and warm and slightly dark. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Attentive staff and consistent kitchen performance are notable. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. They take reservations and I can imagine that in this area of Burlingame it might be difficult to get a table during dinner rush so call ahead. The menu is Italian Coast fare - seafood, burgers, pastas, salads. Nothing unapproachable or too fancy and yet everything is prepared with a culinary sincerity that is present in every bite. I highly recommend this restaurant for business and pleasure. Go, eat, enjoy!
