Joaquin was our guest hibachi chef for the evening. He was so entertaining and pleasant to be around. Our table loved his energy and dishes he was serving. Definitely recommending Benihana Burlingame to all my associates.

Just want that good. Our waiter was great but the chef was uninspiring, not entertaining. Seemed like he was bored. My steak was good but my scallops burnt. Literally burnt, had to peel the char ofd them. Disappointed

We had a 7:30 reservation for my husband 60th bday. We arrived at 7:20 after spending 10 mins to get a parking space but we where still early. They sat us at a table 8:15. They did not start cooking our food until 9:10. The restaurant was vey loud. You can not talk to anyone at your table. It seems like they have packed too many tables and too many people inside.
For the past several years, we usually dine at Benihana twice a year on our birthdays, it is a nice promotion. This recent experience was not as good as previous ones. Perhaps it's the shortage of staff (which is true all over), the service was lacking. We requested soy sauce for our sushi but had to wait for 15 mins, and asked again before the waiter got to it. Same for the steamed rice which came with dinner, our entrees were practically finished before we got it, after asking for it twice. The food was more salty and oily than we remembered, this chef was heavy handed with his use of soy sauce. It overpowered all the items.
Great food and services! My only feedback was how fast they took payment but I birthday coupon that that saw after payment was made.
I had to wait 30 minutes and I had a reservation at 12pm. With aero updates.
Itâs always good
Avoid this disappointment. Itâs such a great location on the water, and hibachi is iconic⦠so why mess it up so bad? :45 wait after reservation time to get seated, for overpriced, small portions, while listening to random people complain about their experience. Save your time and money and invest in a worthy experience somewhere else.
Fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Came here with my family and we all had a good time. The food was great. The service from Bryant was wonderful.
