Perhaps we picked the wrong evening as there was a private event on the back patio which seemed to overwhelm serving staff. Side patio was nice enough but service was very slow. Beer selection was limited but good.
Delicious drink, cozy ambiance, and friendly staff!The bartender suggested a cocktail called Purple Rain with fresh egg whites as an ingredient. Unsure at first, but turned out to be exactly what I was craving for.Sweet, tangy, frothy, a nice citrus burn, and slight buzz to finish. I'd would definitely come back for this girly cocktail ? ?Topped with edible violas was a nice touch!

Fun place to have drinks and socialize with friends. Cool vibe and environment especially the outdoor seating area. Will be back soon! Cheers!
Why so sour?They craft the drinks and they look great but ruin it with way to much sour/bitter.
It was the best bar in LA, pretty pricey now, $18 for two well drinks.It's still a great bar with great people, both staff and regulars. But, if you're in the mood for more of a reasonably priced dive bar, there are other places.

The spirits selection isn't very big, so it's even more impressive that they make really good cocktails. The staff was really friendly. They didn't come around that often, but the place was packed and it didn't take away from an enjoyable experience. We were seated in the quasi-outdoor side section, which we preferred. Looking forward to getting cocktails from Barrelhouse again when I'm in town.
Very nice bar with a gorgeous patio decorated with plants. Cocktails are very good! Worth the visit!Ps: Waiter will ask for your credit card when you order your drinks
