Just ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad. Last time I thought it looked poorly made, but figured it was a busy or off day. This time, it's even worse. First off, I'd like to point out that this salad after tax and small delivery fee costs just over $20. Don't mind paying it, but wait until you hear what I got for that price:- Blackened chicken, 1.2oz of chicken (yes, I weighed it. For scale, it's about the weight of 5 cherub tomatoes.)- pickled carrots + celery, 1 carrot slice and 5 celery slices (didn't notice them while eating because they were hardly there)- cilantro, just a pile of un-chopped cilantro! Like a little cilantro salad within the salad- tomatoes, plenty- blue cheese, fine- za’atar breadcrumbs, plenty- shredded kale, fine- chopped romaine, fineMaybe they're under paying the employees, maybe more training is needed, but they're definitely not striving for quality. Regardless, I really hope they straighten up because I was stoked when they came to the neighborhood. Check your orders before you walk out the door, you just might find less than one chicken finger's worth of chicken in your $16 salad!
This place has become terrible. My wife and I ordered two salads through the app. Mine was a fish taco salad. It’s supposed to be a “warm” bowl, but it was devoid of any of that, in fact it would have had more life in it had it been made by robots. There was a tiny piece of salmon, a half, un-chopped avocado, cold couscous, a sad piece of bread, and bottom-of the-bag chips. So, I decided to drive back over to ask them to remake it. The employees in the back looked over-worked, and not happy to be there. And I think that’s the problem. They were pretty backed up on orders, and the guy on the frontline said it would be another 15 minutes. I chose to get a refund instead. When the manager came out, she asked what was wrong and I told her it was all cold, etc., and I said she could take a look for herself. She rudely said she didn’t need to look, and then told me that I’d have to still pay for the other bowl, because they can’t do partial refunds. Then, the computer froze, and in her frustration, tried to give me back the same bowl I was returning! I calmly told her, “I’m good.” Then she rudely and loudly said, “You have a nice day!” as I walked out. Well, I was trying to have a nice day, until your company gave me a sub-par product, then tried to make me feel like I was in the wrong for, y’know, asking them to remake my order properly. Again, she is most likely underpaid and over-worked, but don’t take it out on the customers. You’ve just lost this one, permanently. *One good thing, I did get my entire amount refunded, but only because the computer went down. Either hire robots, or pay your people more.
sad to write this because i really do love sweet green and order a harvest bowl from this location at least 2x a month. don’t know if i will any longer because they skimped me sooo much on my order earlier today. barely any food. very disappointed, tasted good tho
This place is great. They work well with big orders and ordering online is super easyWorkers are super cool and restaurant is always clean when I visit
The workers at sweet green are pretty consistently incompetent. Kinda sick of always having some sort of issue when it comes to this place. Food is generally good but you will sit there waiting 20 minutes for them to prepare an order for 2 people that doesn’t have to be cooked I can’t fathom why it takes this long for them to get people in an out of here but it’s pretty clear it’s a problem for a lot of people who come here
Service line is closed. Said I had to order online which was challenging because I was in a hurry. Besides logistics, food was good. Will go back
Sweetgreens is my go to spot in Silverlake whenever I’m visiting family in the LA area. Happy to find the Toluca lake location while visiting family in Noho. This location had a different chickpea recipe and it was amazing??
I enjoyed this place until they strangely shutdown their indoor ordering. Now they force you to either download their app or create an account online to order. Additionally, the online ordering does not allow for modifications like (asking for something to be placed on the side instead of in the salad). Maybe if you allowed a guest to order without having to download the app or create an online account I would be here a few times a week, but now I refuse to jump through hoops to order a salad. This place just lost my business.
Horrible experience. Arrived and they were only taking online orders. Place order online and said pick up would take 15min. At 15min mark, the foods is still not ready. It does not tak 15min to make a salad.
I had a great experience here and Angel was extremely pleasant and helpful. I have food allergies and sometimes have a hard time finding a place to eat and/or finding a knowledgeable employees. This was not the case with Angel at sweet green. She knew all the ingredients, how things were cooked, etc. and made me feel 100% confident in working around my allergies. Also, the food tasted fresh and perfectly up my alley. I definitely recommend this place and will return time and time again if my experience continues to be as great as it was with Angel.
