Amazing bakery that offers the best value and friendly service for a wide variety of pastries, bread, and sandwiches. The Burbank location looks so gorgeous, almost like a fancy restaurant. Inside there are two separate lines for walk-in orders. I got three pieces of pastries, a chocolate cake, and a country bread. For the extremely affordable prices, they got great taste!Sometimes the line would go all the way outside the shop, but it's worth the wait!
Porto’s is the place of foodie themed dreams! Whether the extensive dessert counter, or custom made cakes, they have something for everyone’s sweet tooth. Do you need fresh bread for tomorrow, we’ll they have that too! Finally, breakfast lunch, and dinner are well represented at their various times of day. Specialty sandwiches, soups, and combo plates are readily available in a variety of options. The best part is everything is affordable, and delicious! The best place for casual food options + specialty coffees & juices!Simply the best for a family of picky eaters… something for everyone, and tons to take home for later!
Everything is great here. I didn't get to get the corn fritter balls. I drove from Lancaster to Burbank for my order. kinda sad that they didn't have them available. still gonna have yummy snacks for my birthday.
great food...Service is excellent for a very busy place.
their pastries are amazing. had the Ham and cheese omelette on croissant that was incredible
Pre and post pandemic - this is the place to be. Breakfast, lunch or for dinner, Porto’s baked goods and ready made fresh food is worth the line. The staff are always friendly and helpful - don’t forget to ask about suggestions, they have the inside scoop on what’s in stock. Try the in-house made plantain chips with the dipping sauce. It’s excellent!
I had very high hopes for this bakery being Cuban American. The lines for Saturday morning were insane (kept that in mind) when visiting. Coffee was delicious. The majority of the pastries ordered were delicious. The spinach empanada had VERY little filling-see below, but flavor was good. Coconut empanada was my favorite. I'd skip the croquettes because the texture and flavor in my opinion was off. (again probably have eaten millions between NYC and Miami areas).
I can see how this place can be 5 stars for many people. I looks like authentic cuban bakery. It’s just not a place I’d be visiting often. To crowded, customer service was a bit slow and I thought that the food was ok. Also most things are just full of sugar. Prices are pretty good though so that’s that.
I literally can't say enough good things about this place!!! The absolute best cheese rolls and pastries in LA!!! The line is soooo worth the wait. When you go, be prepared to hang out in the line and wait for a bit. I promise you it is worth it. Order two cheese rolls per person...INCREDIBLE. Their empanadas are also incredible. When my family came to visit us in LA, I told them to try this place out. They went every single day after that!! They loved the sandwiches and the pastries so much!Definitely an incredible staple of Los Angeles!
