We had been here in the past and were happy with the lunch menu but today we went on a Saturday. The experience started off on the wrong foot almost immediately with the waiter being rude. When we ordered Shrimp & Vegetables (which was what it was called on the menu) he asked “Chinese vegetables?” We pointed to the item on the menu and he said “Chinese people have different vegetables.” Ummm, we came to a Chinese restaurant….Then he repeated our order back to us and said our $18 apiece meals were ala carte. Meaning NO RICE. I have never been to an Aisian restaurant that did not include rice with the meal! Ridiculous…we paid $6.50 for our 2 soft drinks, left and will not be back.
Don't visit if you expect friendly and good customer service. If the food was not good the service and energy would have pushed me right out the door without thinking. Good luck with retaining customers! Food got the ⭐!
The BEST dumplings on the planet! We’ve been customers for over 20 years. So, so good.
Food was good but BEWARE you do not get rice with your dinner orders. Literally every other Chinese restaurant gives you rice with your meal. I spent $50+ on two meals and was left disappointed. Will likely not order again.
Excellent customer service, food is so delicious!
good. we happy. with my family to eat this place lo recomiendo???
We have enjoyed Gourmet 88 for almost 30 years. We started going when it was in Glendale. The food was exquisite and we hosted many celebrations there. Saturday night we had a small birthday party and it was terrible. Sam was obnoxious. He greeted us with we cannot one in with our service dog. We always brought our dog. I showed him the papers and he still argued. He questioned my disability, Enence though I use a mobility scooter. He was very rude and aced illegally. We were celebrating a birthday so I didn’t eat to make a fuss. When I got to the table I was so upset that I actually fell. The server was very helpful but “Sam” was absent. We ordered the food from a limited menu and it was mediocre at best. No one complained because we wanted to celebrate. When we left Sam approached our Godson and told him that we were not welcome to one back. First because of the service dog and second because we always complain about the food. We are long time customers and no one ever complained about the food. We loved eating there. He clearly confused us with someone else. His behavior was reprehensible. It is no wonder that what was a very popular restaurant at one time was fairly empty on a Saturday night. He lost us and our rather large circle of friends.
Lemon chicken is on top of my list.Service is very good and no reservation is needed. We always dine-in.
Food was amazing, prices were pretty good, and waiter was friendly but not over the top, direct and helpful. Definately coming back
