My daughter earned one of the 7-inch personal pizzas through the reading programs at school. She said it was really really good.Overall this location is kind of old, but the food quality is actually pretty good. The staff are quite friendly and attentive. They were doing their best to take care of customers and to keep the place clean. Shakey's menu has more than just pizza, their bunch-of-lunch is obviously a big deal. They have pretty good prices on Buffalo wings, I might have to try those next time.The only thing that's really kind of weird is they still have a half of an arcade with a prize counter and the parking is lame.
I came here for my birthday weekend and I was pleasantly surprised how amazing the food quality was. I honestly thought it was much better than Golden corral and hometown buffet. Every single dish was hot and they did not run out of food. I see the cook constantly checking and replacing different pizzas. The manager of that store was very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this spot.
We came in to pick up a to go order this afternoon. We stood and waited for several minutes while staff walked around and ignored us. Finally a girl came over to the counter. We told her we were there to pick up our order, she got it and sat it on the counter and walked away without ever saying one word to us. Not hello, here you go, thank you, nothing. We asked if that was everything and she turned around and shook her head yes. After leaving we realized we didn't get our ranch dip. We're not impressed.
Prior to the pandemic my little brother told me that it had been his life long dream to have his birthday at Shake's, he wanted his name on the outdoor marquee. Unfortunately, in my travels I haven't seen a Shakey's with a marquee. So I went on a hunt to find one...thank you Google Maps!Next step was to call and ask if they would do it. I had a feeling it was going to be tough, as the images from Google show they use it to promote their sales. PLUS, I was just going to host a small group of people and maybe they had a minimum group requirement.I spoke to the manager, who stated they didn't do that. I begged a little. He suggested I speak to the General Manager Nensi, who would be in the following day.I got busy at work and called a few days later, not knowing if Nensi would be in. To my surprised she picked up the phone.I was ready to tell her about my little brother's life long dream. I was ready to beg, plead, and EVEN pay! She didn't have to know that my "little brother" was a thirty-something year old guy. All that was not necessary, she quickly said yes! I was shocked! Even told me that she would send me the picture of the marquee the night before, which she did! On the day of the party, they even reserved a couple of tables for us!For a party of 7 we ordered the Large PCM with a peperoni pizza, added another 8-piece fried chicken and medium rustic garlic chicken pizza. It was the perfect amount of food! Had just a couple of leftovers. The family really enjoyed the chicken pizza. They ranted and raved on how moist the fried chicken was and how it was the perfect amount of crispy but not greasy. They even went back two days later to eat more chicken!The restaurant and restrooms are very clean. The service is specular! Shout-out to Alan, John, and Lolua. They even hooked it up with a cake cutter (I'm sure they use it for pizza) and plastic plates for the cake.They invited us to celebrate all our birthdays there and they would put our names on the marquee! So if you need a place to host a party come on down! I highly recommend this Shakey's!It's located right off the 91 FWY, near the 5 fyw. Depending on way you approach it, the parking lot entrance may be a bit tricky to find, although there is a small Shakey's sign. That's really the only down-side. This Shakey pizza and service is top notch. Nancy the manager accommodateCustomers with their birthday celebration! I come by every year for the shrimp pizza thin crust for lent season. Yummy!
We had a great time. There are about 10 games for the kiddos to play and win tickets. Staff is great and friendly. The food was good and the buffet was always full. Tables and bathrooms were clean. We got there at noon on a Saturday and it didn't get crowded until 2pm.
Update- The store manager just reached out to me, apologized for the incident and will be refunding me for my purchase. I may come back next time I’m in town just based on the excellent customer service that I received and didn’t even ask for. Thank you!They don’t know how to cancel an online order. I was extremely tired after a long day and accidentally ordered one more pizza than I needed. I called right away as soon as I realized my mistake to cancel and restart my order, but they said tough, nothing I can do about it. I’m stuck paying for it. So I ended up throwing away a lot of pizza. What a waste. Well, the trash is probably where it belongs anyway because their pizza is gross.
I visit the restaurant today at 1pm. The pizza I received its noticeable that it been sitting for some hours since the cheese looks wierd and the taste is different from the other times I visit the restaurant. I visit the restaurant like 2 times a month for I live 2 blocks away. Wont return to this specific location !
My favorite Shakey’s! Refuse to go anywhere else.The Manager Nensi is always on the floor doing a great job and attending the customers needs! Love it here!Will definitely be back
I went with 2 friends. We all had different meals. One had the buffet, one had only pizza, and I had chicken and mojos. The food tasted great. It was hot and fresh. The service was excellent.They have advertising for ice cream on the sides of their napkin holders. We all wanted ice cream; however, they were out of the types of ice cream that we wanted. We were disappointed about that.
