Little pricey relative to meat quality. Beef smell was so serious. Only ‘연탄불고기’ was fine.
Great quality meats especially good deal for lunch specials. We always order two lunch specials to share between three adults. Unfortunately due to staffing shortages they don't cook your meats especially during lunch anymore
Tonight was the second time we've been to this restaurant, but this ajumma was the worst server ever. I don't know how a server tells you that this restaurant is self serve and walks away, then expect at least 18% tip. Every time when she came over, she was showing attitude, and throwing utensils around, which really bothered us so we had to say something. People like her should never be in this business serving.

The atmosphere is fun! The wait staff are friendly and attentive. They are constantly in motion, checking on you, cooking your food, changing grills. The meat was fairly decent quality and the banchan was good.
Personal opinion: beef is too chewy. Table is too small for big parties. Most meats are below average.
Saemaeul restaurant is famous chain restaurant in South Korea.This chain is owned by JongWon Baek who is famous chef and businessman.Servers are kind and they bake meats for you for perfect condition to eat.Meat quality is the best in Orange County.There are some combo menu, so you can try various meat with good prices.Also, try to eat Kimchi Jjige.

Kinda randomly visited this place with a friend. We were greeted at the door with a very funny comment which can't be translated. We were giggling about it for a while. Overall food quality was pretty nice as well as staff worked hard and fast. Quality is much better than AYCEs of Orange county, but not much better than ones in LA. Price on the bill was different from shown on menu. Understandable, but wish it gets updated soon. BTW, I wish I can order soon dooboo as a pickup because I don't go to BCD.
I've been once, ordered a beef combo for two (small). It was very good, and the staff was nice.
