My first time eating ramen, very delicious, very friendly staff, nice and clean place.
Great place for ramen, seating is limited. We try both regular ramen and the dipping ramen tsukemen. The regular ramen is really good, better than Santouka's broth and noodles. The dipping ramen is more salty and the noodles are flatter and thicker. We get corn, egg, mushroom and bean sprouts add on totaling $17 for the tsukemen. Price is great for what you get. The only downside is the seating space inside is small and there are some seatings outside but it's going to be hot in the day and dark at night. Overall I recommend but go at opening when it's not busy.
Had the spicy tsukemen and it was awesome! The dipping broth was thick and flavorful, and the noodles were chewy and perfectly cooked. The service was also very nice and polite. Had a great time, will come again!
If you're looking for great Tsukemen (like Tsujita) in OC look no further. Chef Sano trained in Japan at Tsujita and came here to open Ramen & Tsukemen TAO. I love Tsujita myself and you can taste the similarities as well as the Chef's own personal touch to the broth flavor. Super reccomended if you're a fan of tsukemen.
Ramen and Tsukemen TAO is a pretty unassuming spot. Don't let that fool you. It's one of the only spots in Orange County that I've visited with legit tsukemen ramen. The spring rolls and pork buns were also very good. I only gave it 4 stars because their regular ramen leaves quite a bit to be desired but everything else is great.
Easily some of the best ramen I’ve ever had. I’d like to think I’m very picky about taste and I’ve had somewhere around 70 different ramen places from all around including Japan. This is about as authentic as it gets and the service is very good. On some occasions, it’d just be one waiter and they manage a full building very well.

Henry and Chris are amazing, I haven't seen customer service like this in a very long time! They are genuinely really good people.I came early for takeout to accommodate 4 vegan clients. While they didn't open until 11, Chris came around to help me with the menu to order and really made me feel valued.The server arrived and insisted terminals didn't work until 11, but both Henry and Chris proceeded to move on to take care of me.They went far above and beyond for a first time eater here, and you bet I'll be coming back.Food was incredible thanks to these two passionate chefs. I highly recommend them!
The server got upset at us because we didn’t want our ToGo order and the cook decided to come out and start yelling at me. I understood he was upset because I canceled the order but there was no reason to start yelling at me. If he wanted to charge me a fee that was fine, but to yell at me and in front of other customers as well?! Worst experience at a restaurant and will never eat here again.
Wow! I'd never had Tsukamen with cold dipping noodles before. I found my new love! I had these spicy and it was about medium or less, perfect spiciness! I am coming back for sure!
