This used to be our go to spot for years but within the last year sometime has become under new ownership which would be fine if they didn’t come In and change how all the rolls are made. And the nigiri sushi pieces are half the size. Again the rolls the rolls are prepared differently and have gone from in our opinion the most amazing sushi around to now just taste like store bought sushi. If new ownership reads this please go back to the way it used to be before your friend sold it to you we will come back once a week again
Ozen sushi has always to me had quality sushi. They use fresh not frozen fish. Recently went to the one on Lincoln Ave in Buena Park and were a little surprised. Understand the times with inflation on the rise the all you can eat is $39.99 now. That is pretty steep. What really got me was that they limit your all you can eat on salmon and tuna sashimi. It’s not like either one of those items are seasonal or in high demand. How can one justify the high price but at the same time limit how many you can order at all you can eat. I could understand if it was steak and lobster or the similar but it wasn’t. There was plenty of seating outdoors. We sat inside and the service was still lacking. Totally understand there are staff shortages but we still paying full price. Ultimately, it was a lackluster experience. The quality of the sushi was good, but the experience is not worth the premium.
The sushi here is excellent! It is served with minimal rice so you really taste the freshness of the fish. Everything was delicious! The service was fast and friendly.
This is what I imagine it would be like if McDonald’s made sushi. Maybe it tastes better in person but delivered it was dry and chewy.
Food and service was good ! I would definitely come back. Everything I had was good except the shu mai LOL. Idk why I did that.I noticed the reviews saying service was bad but we didn't have any issues. There were only 2 servers on the floor, considering it was a full house, I think they were very attentive. The only thing is that I put allergic to avocado in the allergy box but I still got avocado in my roll. (Might be my fault since i didn't notify our server too.) But it was no big deal. I just picked it out. Thanks for the good experience!
Was our goto AYCE sushi place precovid. Still a good place but noticed the portions are smaller.Update: Went back with the family. Good selectionof sushi and made to order hot dishes. Ordered Udon, California hand roll, salmon skin hand roll, Hot Night Roll, shrimp and vegetable tempura, calamari, assortment of niguri sushi and a spider roll. Everything came out and was delicious. Didn't fail us.
I am not a delicate person. I am a guest of my partner and the menu looks very delicious, but the sushi was COLD IT TASTE LIKE FOOD FOR LESS SUSHI THAT BEEN SITITNG FOR DECADE$ I really hope people read this the employee are decent just very slow and quite please don't come here if you need sushi advice go to Cerritos near gens very delicious sushi take care Don't trust the menu by its cover :(
The Sushi was great but the customer service here is poor. I had to ask for the check three times from three different waiters (over 30) and I had to threaten to leave before I received it. I also witnessed a plate of sushi being passed around to three or four tables before finally finding the right one. The place is very well staffed but lack organization and leadership.
Some high quality sushi that exceeds all expectations of which you would get from a all-you-can-eat sushi place! Really fresh but don't get carried away for there sushi rolls are huge so be ready to indulge in sushi greatness!
Very delicious! So far my favorite Ozen out of the others.I feel the fish is high quality and I absolutely love their sauce that comes with the gyoza. Love it so much I asked for more on the side so I can dip sushi into it.
