Extremely salty, inedible, and lacks authenticity. Today, we ordered oyakodon, katsudon, and gyudon. Ugh, I have never tasted something so terrible in my life. The gyudon tasted like teriyaki beef sauce. The beef was stringy and extremely fatty. The oyakodon was really mushy, but the chicken to rice ratio was really generous. The katsudon was actually pretty decent, except the pickles were a bit excessive.I do not recommend this place for Japanese bento.

Been going here for years! My favorite bento is the grilled mackerel. Get the salad too, it's not like other greens I've had and I dig the tart dressing that comes with it. Many of the vegetables used in the dishes are grown directly from the owner's farm.

I used Neighborhood Bento to cater a memorial service for my wife's brother who recently passed away. There were about 100 people who attended. Everyone loved the salmon, chicken (kara-age) and beef (yakiniku) bento lunches. Thank you Tetsuko. Everything was prepared perfectly and absolutely delicious!

Came here to try it out since we live close by this establishment. You order at the counter. Menu is located on the wall display. Food is very tasty and portion size is average.

It was Friday and I didn't want to cook. This is a great place for Japanese comfort foods.Today, we ordered the following for family style take-out dinner:Hamburger Bento - Comes with steamed rice, cooked veggies - japanese style which includes taro, carrots, lotus, shitake mushroom, bamboo. seaweed. potato salad. and egg - japanese style sweet rolled omelet. The hamburger is grilled and smells just like a summer backyard barbecue. Love having this with katsu sauce. mmmmm.Fried Fish Bento - same as above but with fried fish. 3 nice pieces. Also includes tarter sauce. It's so crunchy but gentle to your upper palate. Delish.Karaage - 15 pieces of fried chicken pieces. Love! I like dipping mine in katsu sauce. Adds just enough umami.Sides:Cooked Veggies - cannot get enough of this so need more!Kinpira - braised burdock root (gobo, in japanese) It goes very well with some rice.Fried Shishito Peppers - pair this with some biiru (beer, in japanese) for pre-dinner happy hour. This is like playing Shishito Roulette. You cannot tell which pepper is HOT!Service is nice and polite.Timing is perfect. I ordered online for after 6:15 pick up. I got there just before that and had to wait just a couple minutes for one more dish. Food was still nice and warm when I got home.Wear your masks please. We all need to do our part and keep these businesses safe and running. Remember we need Bento as much as Bento needs us.Keep safe and itadakimasu!

Great hidden gem. Next door Tao is awesome too

Super authentic, lots of options, very tasty. Katsu sandwich is juicy, good sauce, taste, bread is toasted but fluffy. Amazing! Also go assorted bento but I'd probably go with beef or pork options unless you like salmon / shrimp grilled.Wish this was closer! Reasonable prices too! Owner is legit Japanese it seems too

Great!Great!Great! It reminds me of the comfort food that my mother(RIP) used to make and she was an amazing cook. New years feast would take her 24 hours to do. It was a 3 day feast.

The owner is awesome. Slowly tasting the entire menu... ?
