Gyukatsu restaurants are so rare here! I love them in Japan and this restaurant can't compete. Nevertheless I will keep coming back. The rare meat shown in the pictures may scare some people away but that's the beauty of it. You can actually sear it to your like. You'll share a heated stone plate to cook the slices. I highly recommend the premium gyukatsu and beef tongue. Surprisingly the beef tongue was better than the gyukatsu. I don't recommend the curry udon because it lacked flavor. The sauce that comes with the gyukatsu is delicious, make sure you get extra.
If you're a guy 5'10 and over and weigh about 170 lb or more and are active. You will definitely not be full but the food is very good. This is more of a social experience or novelty to come with friends and have a good time. If the portions were bigger I'd give them a 5 Star rating.
This is definitely a place you want to take pictures and document. The experience is not one you find everyday and often especially in OC. The flavors were ok. The meat was good but not anything spectacular. I was expecting better quality meat tbh. I would go again for the experience and to bring people others because it's an experience. My favorite part was the egg.
