Popped in after work and had an excellent rib eye and a scotch at the bar. Super friendly environment. Giants game was on.I really like how the restaurant is "L" shaped. It allows the bar and bar noise to not Interfere with the restaurant.I would give them a 5 star, but they don't have proper ice for the liquor they have and that's a bit irritating.

Service was kind, but slow. I had a meat marinara pasta which was greasy and sub par. My wife had chicken and did not finish her meal either. It’s a nice/cozy and very affordable place and a decent choice if you don’t feel like cooking or driving to a good place to eat. I’ve heard the steaks are their strength, so I may update this after a second visit someday.

Absolutely delicious!!!! We went for my aunts birthday and she had the Swordfish....Amazing!!! My fiancé had the Salmon.....Soooo good!!!! I had the Seafood fettuccine.....It was the best ever!!! O and they serve this fresh baked bread with butter and fresh garlic...I can't wait to get back there. And the service was great as well. Thanks Sweeney's staff!!!

Have visited Sweeney’s many times over the years.but this was our first visit since Covid. The service was ok and pleasant . The Clam chowder is very very good here . We even picked it up for take out during the pandemic. The bread is not that good but passable but the fish and chips were not that good at all . Frozen fish sticks aren’t my idea of fish and chips . My bad for not asking whether they served frozen or fresh . Instead of getting the Cheese Ravioli Mozzata I received the Meat Ravioli w/marinara. I did not send it back as I wanted to eat with my table mate . It was plentiful but just average . Should have had a bowl of Clam Chowder and sat at the bar. Nice ambience but miss some of the employees that I gather did not return .

Staff was attentive. Chicken had no taste in the chicken Alfredo dish?? Tasted like any flavor was boiled out... Everyone else's meals were fine.

My 1st experience here was slow on service but excellent food. My 2nd time was beyond excellent. Service and food were 100% on point. That server should train all servers like she works. However, I was given an excuse for my 1st time experience and told that the kitchen cooks based off how they feel that day. This is not right. The kitchen should be turning out a excellent product each and every time, not based how they are feeling that day. Management needs to address this type of culture and ensure it does not spread. Recommendation, make a garlic butter and rosemary spread for the bread rather than a side of garlic in a plastic container. The garlic was overpowering and it seems as if a lot of it goes to waste per table.

The food was so delicious and portions were large enough to enjoy what's left for lunch the next day. If I were to make any suggestions it would be to serve a softer bread. The bread was very hard. Outside of that, everything was absolutely delicious ?

My dad and his wife reside in assisted living in town. They were celebratingher 90th birthday. Matthew made the effort to add dessert to the Door Dash menu and send a candle. You made their day! Thanks for your assistance and kindness!

Meat ravioli with highly recommended meet sauce not only looked disgusting it was bland and tasteless. Fish and chips was ridiculous, dry and tasteless, certainly not fresh, more like fish sticks from a freezer. Very poor. No idea why this dump has such a high rating in Brentwood.

We had my 75th birthday party there in the patio area. Mathew, Eric, the bartender and the rest of the staff were excellent. The food was great with nothing but rave reviews from the participants.
