Pepe’s meat is really clean. No fat. Their chile verde is very good and also not too fatty. A taco salad served in a styrofoam hot dog container was a big surprise. They make large large large burritos and they charge about ten bucks for it. I wish they would provide the right amount of napkins. A burrito that weighs a pound and a half deserves more than one of those white soda fountain napkins. Don’t ask for more. One napkin per item. Period. Same with the salsa. One to a taco. Restroom out of order now for months. Limited salsa, rationed paper napkins, ask thrice for a straw, owner in the kitchen. I did a little research, and the reviews from years ago were almost all five stars. “you can’t shrink yourself to greatness”

COVID lazy strikes again. Make sure if you come here have a drive thru compliant car. They should remove done in as the last few times I have come here they put chairs out that day Drive thru only. They have now blocked off the patio so you cannot order drive thru and sit outside and eat. You must now take somewhere else and eat but not here. If you can stand COVID lazy then drive on through. If you want to sit and enjoy your meal I would call first to see if dining room is open or find somewhere that doesn’t want you to buy their food and leave!

Pepe's Brea is the second best restaurant in the area. It's only second to the Pepe's Placentia location. Must try something with beans in it. The breakfast burritos can easily be shared by two people. And the rolled tacos with beef inside are bigger than any you've had anywhere else. Just be patient because there's always a line. I'll see you there again.

Not great. I got chicken taco and asada taco. The asada meat was good. Some hard cartilage but overall good. The tortillas were microwaved which is very lazy. Tortillas should be heated on the flat iron with a bit of oil to get flavor. The chicken was bad. It was a shredded chicken which I am assuming was boiled. The chicken was slightly dry and had a very poor taste. Like the chicken quality used was low. They also put cheese in the guacamole which is a bit surprising and unnecessary. Overall barely passable food with poor quality chicken and dated dishes.

(BIG thumb down !!!!) one of the worst hospitality that i ever been to. - i honestly thought this must be a joke -- all the rude signs -- demanding cash --- closed for dining --- don't throw cigarette buds in the flowers ---- 3% extra charge for credit cards --- USE CASH WHENEVER POSSIBLE (why ??? / tax dodger, maybe?) i didn't even order, SUPER TURNED OFF --- How do places like this even survive ? ---since it was the 4th time i tried to get in this place -- CLOSED ON MONDAYS -- SIGN ON THE FLOOR - Chair barricade the front door ---- this is not any business you would feel at home in --- the whole drive though there was just 1 car --- AND THEY WERE YELLING --- the only place i ever was treated worse than this was at the El Pollo Loco on the corner of Grand Ave & Valley boulevard in City of Industry by Walnut, that place gave me burned rice (ANOTHER ZERO STAR FAST FOOD JOINT) ---- SORRY PEPE's you can keep your tacos --- you present one of the WORST customer service and customer welcoming environments I EVER SEEN -- TAKE DOWN YOUR CLOWN SIGNS --- ACT LIKE A BUSINESS --- how in the world did people rate you a 4.3 --- IMPOSSIBLE -- if I had a rating lower than 1 star I would rate them ZERO stars---OR EVEN NEGATIVE (-5) STARS - horrible - have some shame

Very poor service. You expect better service from the drive through. Enough time sitting and waiting for your order to be correct. You pay for food. You get home to enjoy your food you paid for. Then, you open your bag to see this? Tortilla with no meat (when you ask for plain taco). You ask for a chicken taco and you get beef? You order a carne asada plate and you get 2 tortilla chips. My wife calls in to let them know. She has to drive all the way back and hand back the carne asada taco (that’s their policy?). That’s not even sanitary or should be a health department issue here? You also have to justify they got the order wrong? Terrible customer service ends up crushing your reputation and no one will eat at your establishment. The food is subpar and too salty at best. Go to Alberto’s or even Tams burgers! I give this place zero stars for customer service and 1 star for food prep. Keep driving or looking for the next Mexican restaurant. Take my word for it. It’s not worth the hassle.

The chili Riano burrito is very good but unfortunately they don't have enough staff to open the restaurant so the line is super long

Pepe's has gone downhill. They are jacking up the prices while giving the customer less quantity and quality. If we were being served inside I would have returned both dishes. People will remember this after the pandemic and they will be out of business.

I have heard a lot of great things about this place, but quite frankly, not worth it. Just standard. Prices are EXTREMELY expensive for what you get. I was astonished. They were out of Diet Coke today. How in the world do you "run out" of the most popular drink the fast food industry. I got two crispy beef tacos and they were just ok. The red hot sauce I requested was above average and made my nose run, so that saved this review from getting 2 stars. Restrooms had signs on them saying they were closed, but it seemed ok for employees to use them. When I got my order, they didn't provide my drink so I had to ask for it. The guy didn't seem to believe me at first. Mexican rice that came with the meal had some kind of "sauce" on top of the rice. Uh...WHO DOES THAT?Won't be returning.

Called all day. No answer. Next day went to drive thru. Got chili verde wet burrito. The pork had a funny taste to it. Not good quality.
