Great steakhouse. The food & cocktails was delicious.
This is the best steak I have ever eaten, and I must say that the staff goes above and beyond to make this a unique and memorable dining experience.Every side I tried was the best version I've experienced of the side in question, and the wait staff was extremely helpful with explaining the menu and suggesting proper pairings from their drink menu. The ambiance is perfect, and I can't say enough good things about what the restauranteur Mr. Tony has created here. If you're in the area, don't miss your chance to experience Old Brea Chophouse!
I usually take my Dad out every few months, and we've made it a point to explore new steakhouses. This popped up in a Google search and we thought it would be a good choice. Parking isn't too bad, we chose to park in the free garage across the street. The actual space of the restaurant is smaller than I would have expected, or it's just poorly laid out, it seems cramped. The ambiance is confusing, as if they tried to be a little of everything, old school steakhouse, new school chophouse and bar all in one. We had a reservation and were sat quickly in a small booth. The service was good, but a little confusing, with servers sharing the table but not telling us that from the beginning. The menu did not have any specialties of note. The bread was WONDERFUL! We started with scallop crudo and New Orleans shrimp. Both were good, the crudo was served in the shell, very beautiful presentation. The shrimp was delicious, with a spicy, cajun flavored sauce that was perfect for dipping. From there, the meal sort of went downhill in quality. We ordered the filet mignon and the double porkchop, with sides of sauteed spinach, field mushrooms, macaroni and cheese and garlic mashed potatoes. The filet was small and over cooked. The porkchop was dry. The sides were good, but not great. I enjoyed the macaroni and cheese, it had a good mix of cheeses and fun pasta. We finished with a carrot cake, which seemed pre-made and my cappuccino was sad, the cup not full and the froth half done. Honestly, for the price we paid, it was lacking. It was good to try once.
First time eating here and I have to say we had a wonderful evening. Loved our waiter. The tomahawk steak was so so so delicious. It had such flavor. ??. Brussel sprouts were also very tasty however the broccolini fell a little flat not a whole lot of flavor and the loaded baked potato eh, nothing special. O..m...g! The desert that comes with the tomahawk steak was too die for. So yummy ?. It was a great night!!
Our first time there and will definitely be returning! My fiance is a huge lover of steak and very picky but lover their steak. Cooked to perfection along with our side orders. Definitely recommend the seafood platter and the 34oz tomahawk ?
The service was great, awesome and attentive waiters. The ambience, and the food was also amazing. I definitely will be going back.
this is the best steak I have ever had. this place is AMAZING.
Excellent tomahawk steak tonight! This was my first time here and enjoyed the food. My old fashioned was done correctly and delicious I might add. Our waiter Josh was great and explained the different steaks and how it’s prepared. I can’t wait to come back here again. I definitely recommend!
This place us a little fancy,, so check out their menu for prices. I've been here twice now and both time i got the lobster grilled cheese. I have to say it was better the first time. The toast was SO thick it made it impossible to eat. I had to pick it apart and the throw out most of the bread. So that could have been better. We enjoyed butter cake for desert and it was good. Over all I recommend.
Going here was a wonderful experience. The food here is extremely good. The steak was cooked the way I wanted and it was perfect. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Wilm come back again. I also got a delicious dessert for my birthday.
