We had a lovely meal that was visually satisfying as well as tasty. Hand roll with scallops was particularly good. Hot saké was delivered quickly. Staff was helpful and welcoming.
Very friendly owners. Great customer service. Tempura and sushi was great. The teriyaki chicken was so so. A little rubbery.
Was in town visiting my Mom over Christmas. I suggested Ichiban as I remembered that the food was always good. It did not disappoint. Totally enjoyed my sushi selection and my Mom liked her tempura veggies. Hope to go again at my next visit.
Everyone we interacted with from the time we walked in to the time we left was very kind, courteous and professional. The food was excellent! Very pleased with the customer service we received. Next time we are in Brea, we will definitely visit again!

Service was good. Slow to get good from kitchen. Half the table got their food 10 minutes before other half. Ordered tonkatsu, which was burned. Rest of food was acceptable. Would give another try because I felt like they were understaffed on the evening that I went.
Ichiban has been our go-to restaurant for delicious Japanese food, great service and friendly atmosphere for more than 20 years.P.S. A friendly request: As we've aged, we could use a hand rail to hold as we walk up their stairs to dine.

This Restaurant was Super Awesome!!! I’m speechless when i take my first volcano roll bite. It was super super delicious ?? even the bean sprouts soo good!! The chicken karage superrr moist and crunchy. The food is top notch!! The owner was super friendly, always checking on us. The waitress was awesome, she even gave my kids fried oreo for free ? I will definitely come back many many times.
